Hudson's decor is nearly as spectacular as the food crafted in our open kitchen concept. The immense Columbia River stone fireplace, native craftsmanship, and an enormous mural symbolize the region’s diverse character. Hudson's Bar & Grill is located in The Heathman Lodge.

I highly recommend Hudson's!! Went last night for my birthday dinner. Hudson's has been our special occasion place for years. This is the first time we have been out to eat inside a restaurant since the shutdown began in March. (and only 2 other times for outside seating) . We were pretty nervous about it but once there we were totally fine and felt safe. They have removed all the tables, leaving only the large booths. They have installed plexiglass between the booths that reaches well above head level when seated. Plexiglass barriers also served to cut down noise considerably. Waiters are all masked and anyone getting up from their table donned their mask. Food was excellent, as always! I had the Rib Eye, my fav and DH had Chicken Oscar which he liked. Drinks were great. Recommend their Vanhatten over a regular Manhatten. **Be aware that the menu and prices on this site are woefully out of date. ** Appetizer of rustic break (yummy!) is now $5. Rib Eye, not even listed, was $36. Salads ran about $10+

My son and his family stayed there last weekend and we two meals there, a dinner and a lunch. Very good food for a hotel restaurant. During our two meals the six adults had steaks, the crab risotto, crab cakes, beef tips, Reuben sandwiches, eggs Benedict and more. Not a single person raised a single complaint. Service was "rushed" but we sort of understood as the place was busy at both meals.

This has been one of our go-to places for quite a while now. There was a while where they had a Chef it wasn't quite pulling it off but, now they're spot-on. The signature fiocchi pasta is exceptional. What tasted like wild caught salmon was perfectly cooked and presented. Add to that the Rockstar performance by our server Dani and it's a total win

We had 5 couples gather for a belated holiday celebration last night. The service was very good. First of all the waitress described a special that several people were interested in . Then, immediately came back and reported that they were "out". I didn't see anything that I was too excited about on the entrees so I ordered the appetizer beef tips and cup of corn chowder. The chowder was good. There were about 5 tiny little pieces of meat that were overdone and tasteless with some greens and mushrooms. Husband had the halibut. It was a tiny portion of fish with a small serving of mashed potatoes and 3 small grilled carrots. He paid extra for chowder. He also asked for bread and we were charged for that. I don't think anyone was very thrilled with their food. One person had chicken and it didnt come out until everyone else was almost finished. The servings were tiny and with mandatory tip, it cane to over$100.

The service was top notch, the food was good, the atmosphere was OK. Prices are extremely high at this restaurant. I find, during the past 10 years, prices of food and drink menus continue to go upward. Then there are the messages at the bottom of the food invoices intimidating customers with calculations for 15, 18, 20 and 25% gratuity. I think that is very ridiculous. I normally allow about $1 - $4 per seat and do not base my gratuity on the final price of the food, drinks and city or county taxes. There were four of us eating a meal, the invoice was $175.00, the gratuity we left was $18.00. Our server met us at the door, as we exited, and asked if everything was OK? I assured her it was. She said the tip seemed to indicate differently. I was shocked. I won't be back.

Went to Hudson’s for brunch twice within two weeks. First experience was on a weekend and we didn’t have reservations, but we were seated right away. Our waitress (I unfortunately did not remember her name), was wonderful and the avocado toast was perfection. We had a side order of the crispy bacon and it was really good as well. Second visit was on a Friday morning and the place was very quiet. We decided to split an order of eggs Benedict and also add in a side order of “crispy bacon”, what we received was an order of barely warm, flappy bacon. So I asked our waitress Rachel if she could please ask the chef to please cook the bacon a little more. Since the booth we were seated in was within ear shot of the kitchen, I could hear our waitress tell the chef or cook, that the customers wanted the bacon warmed. It was in a snarky tone. Then I noticed our waitress doing everything she could to avoid our table. She was constantly talking with another male employee. She never came back to check on us, or to offer condiments and I also noticed our bacon sitting on the counter for over 10 minutes. When Rachel finally returned the bacon to our table, she just flung it on the table and said, “is that crispy enough for you?” The bacon was burnt to a crisp and stone cold. I said this is cold, so please just take it off our bill. We were not offered an apology, just more eye rolling. Needless to say, she did not get much of a tip. Too bad for her because we typically leave a 25 to 40% tip. I visit Hudson’s at least once, every time I visit Vancouver, so that’s about 4 times a year. This was only the 3rd time that the service was bad. I would have given the visit only 1 star, but didn’t think it would be fair, since the visit the week before was really awesome.

Questionable. My assumption would be a big, thick patty cooked to order. Not a chance here, as the patty was more like an oversized McDonalds patty. Very disappointing. I am a guest at the hotel. I ordered pickup. I asked twice to include sides of both mustard and dill pickles. Twice. Once I returned to my room, no mustard, no pickles. I am disabled. It is difficult for me to walk. Yet, I had to go back downstairs to get what I had asked for. Twice. This has not been the only meal I have ordered from here that was below par. Please consider other fine independent restaurants in the Vancouver, WA area before making a reservation at Hudsons.

Made our Thanksgiving Dinner/Buffet reservation 5 weeks prior. They called two weeks before to confirm, which we did. Showed up 10 minutes before 3PM and was told they couldn't find any reservation. They sat us at a café type tiny table at the front entrance instead of the balcony table we had requested. We waited 15 minutes for a server to come by for a drink order. Ordered 1 white wine and a lemon for my glass of water. 15 minutes later one glass of red wine and no lemon. Buffet was OK, but not quite as good as it had been in previous years. Coffee had never been offered (as in the past) but we were presented a check just as dessert was finished... now mind you..this was a BUFFET, with minimal server interaction. The check showed the meal for two at $119.90(which we expected) plus $12 for the wrong wine, and then they added in the tip at $29.02 PLUS a "service charge" of an additional $29.02 and taxed the whole thing at 11.21 for a grand total of $172.13.... outrageous. The built in service charge and tip was never told to us at the time of reservation, nor is it posted on their website. There was NOTHING to warrant these ridiculous charges for the poor service at a buffet meal.

At at Hudson's tonight, I had chicken Oscar and wife had the beef tenderloin. Long story short the service and food were awful, the waitress rushed us in, asked for the order before we could even load the menu on our phones. Then the food arrived cold and under-cooked. The waitress knew we were not happy with the food, but gave us a bill for it at the end. For the price paid for this bad food and service, I would say go to Olive Garden, the food and Service will be better than this.

This is a great place for brunch with its unique menu and charming Northwest atmosphere and decor. We especially appreciated our server, Cecily, who made us feel like special guests. She was very pleasant while adding lots of humor.

This is a very good restaurant located in the Heathman Lodge. Booth seating throughout and an open kitchen. Breakfast was very good with nice attention to detail, but, service was slow and it appeared that they were understaffed (probably due to the current wildfire situation). We had dinner the same day and the service was excellent and food was quite good. The calamari was fresh, Caesar and wedge salads plentiful and the tomato soup was rustic and tasted warm and homey. Prices are high otherwise I would give it a higher grade.

Friends enjoyed omelets and coffee and huevos rancheros. Extras offered were avocado and sour cream. Do yourself a favor and pass on the French Toast- huge disappointment. Pear slices were not caramelizad as noted, “maple syrup” on side was terrible…a thick, flavorless, corn syrup. Decided to try jam and it too was flavorless like they were trying to stock the cheapest of options. Frankly my jam from Costco tastes better than what they offered. No modifications allowed on dishes. Order only what is strictly on the menu. Zero atmosphere. Dark, reminiscent of Dennys or Shari’s and for an 11am brunch was popular with the 75 and over crowd. Oh- although online reservations can be made, modifications do not seem to go through and we were told we should have called instead of modifying the time the day before. They were able to seat us however.

My wife and I were in on April 28, we had dinner and wine. We asked tor 2 checks, my wife paid for the wine and appetizers and I paid for the dinners. We received our separate checks and because my bill was a little less expensive, I put the tip on my check. Now we find out someone (maybe the server, Sandra A) added 15 dollars onto my wife's check after we paid and left. After several phone calls the manager finally said "because the check was signed , we are keeping the tip". She said there was $15.00 written in on the check with what appears to be the same pen, so it's a valid charge. WHAT PLANET IS SHE FROM! The server gives you the pen to use.

Hudson's must have spent thousands of dollars for their outdoor propane heaters as they are all over the place. Outdoor dining is in the former drivethru at the main hotel entrance. Well covered and shielded from winter weather and well heated too, it is a very good place to have a Sunday brunch, as we did. Still, bring your winter coat. We had a family birthday brunch with masks, social distancing, clean tables, and all of the precautions needed in today's pandemic environment. The brunch menu was good and the food was hot when it arrived. We ate quickly though. All of the servers were masked. It is still a great place to go.

I was in Vancouver with my daughter for a soccer game, and while she video-chatted with her boyfriend, I gave her some privacy and headed down to the bar for a drink after a long day of driving down from Seattle. A Manhattan sounded good, and the one that the bartender made featured Woodinville Whiskey's straight bourbon, It was great, and stood up very well to the many Manhattan's I've had in the last year. Service was a bit slow (it took a bit to get my check to pay, but otherwise I had a nice time at the bar enjoying my drink).
