We had eaten at the Ryleigh's location in Mount Vernon on Cathedral St. and had a very unpleasant experience. A friend posted a gorgeous picture of oysters yesterday on FB and said it was from the Ryleigh's in Federal HIll. My husband really enjoys oysters and decided a birthday dinner was worth a try at this location. He really enjoyed... More

We love the food here. We went to college in the area and whenever we come back to visit, we must eat here! They have the best crushes anywhere! I have never found a grapefruit crush as good as the one here!

We all were invited to Ryleighs Oyster for a pre wedding Happy Hour for family and friends . We were upstairs, the food was delicious, the drinks great, the ambience was cozy. My only issue was they only had one bar tender and she was not very friendly , never smiled, and people waited for drinks.

Came to Ryleighs for a soccer match, something I'd never done before. I wasn't disappointed. Our bartender Susan was great and the breakfast items (starting at 10am) were well made. Nice selection of draft beers and the lunch menu and happy hour Oysters looked great. Nice upstairs bar and downstairs dinning area with big open windows. I'll be back next... More

Casual dining, seafood (oysters) at the top of the list. Lobster roll sandwich, fried oyster sandwich very good. Specialty drink (Orange Crush) a local special, yet inconsistent "pours' here. For the money, the pour is generally weak. Find your Crush in another establishment. Not inexpensive, but not too pricey. Food is the star, not the cocktails.

Ryleigh's is always my go to. I think they offer the best food in the Cross Street/Federal Hill area. They also offer many fresh squeezed crushes (my go to- Orange). I've also ordered brunch from here and it was also delicious. Always, always get the crab dip! It comes in a cast iron skillet with bread and crackers and it... More

We dropped in for a very early dinner on our way to a ball game. We were seated at a table upstairs which wasn't very clean. We ordered raw oysters, which were ok, crab cakes, which were very good, and oyster tacos, which were not too bad. The beer was good and the service was adequate. The music was very... More

We tried the Mount Vernon location before going to the Friday night BSO concert. I ordered a grilled seafood salad and crab soup. Both dishes were good. The service was excellent and our server was friendly and professional. The restaurant is noisy and the background music was horrible, consisting of a low pitched drone with no discernible tune.

Yes Ryleigh's is "casually elegant" but for a really good time, order the oysters and the crabs, take your little wooden mallets, and go to town. You will have great food and a great time. These really were the best oysters we'd had in Baltimore and the shucker did a thorough job of cleaning, cutting loose, and saving the liquer... More

Went here twice in 2 days. Had fried oysters The soups. Crab mac and cheese (pictured). All crab and lobster dishes, and the stuffed preztle. All were amazing and the service was very good. Great little area to walk around and check things out.
