Went for a quick lunch with friends and had a really nice experience. Our server was very nice and helpful. The beer is great -- loved the Loose Cannon IPA. A friend really enjoyed the flight + a shot of whiskey. We also enjoyed the food. The onion rings were crispy and warm. I had the seafood and grits and... More

Great place to visit either before or after bowling at Mustang Alleys, located just above. They make a variety of great beers and the food is always good.

Recently Heavy Seas was featured on the Food Network's Burgers, Brew & Que hosted by Michael Symon. They were highlighted for their craft brewing and their beerclairs. The beerclairs are one of their signature desserts. It just like a traditional eclair - the oblong shaped pastry with a cream filling and topped with chocolate. In the case of Heavy Seas,... More

Beer, apps, salads, fish tacos and sandwiches...Eight of us, 4 couples 28 to 57 years old. Love the beer selections. Mixed drinks were good too. We all shared 3 appetizers BBQ Nachos, fried pickles and loaded tater tots. These 3 apps were large enough for 8 of us and all 3 were awesome. Our main meals varied from sandwiches, salads,... More

Visited while attending the army navy game with my wife and son. Loved the setting in a historic building. Adjacent to a cigar store with a shared smoking lounge with corn hole. Great beers, food was average and typical of bars. The beerclair desert was very good and original. A must go if you are a beer lover.

Stopped in for a test flight and actually tried out two flights (8 beers). The bar staff is helpful and knowledgeable about their beers. We had dinner plans so didn't want to eat here although the food looked good. We settled for a pretzel; great choice and perfect to go with the beer. Recommend the 21 century beer.

What a shame. What could be an idea set up with a cigar space and good beers is utterly ruined by rood staff. We brought a dozen friendly people down from Mustang Alleys (Great place, way better food) to celebrate a birthday. Heavy Seas manager in particular treated us like unwelcome guesst and abrasively berated some of our party. Incredible... More

Stopped at Heavy Seas after watching the Blue Angels fly over the inner harbor for Fleet Week...2nd time visiting Heavy Seas and once again the service was excellent and the food good. The crab cake sandwich was cooked perfectly for the wife. I ordered the southwest burger, it too was cooked perfectly. Burger was not overly big, but very tasty...Some... More

It took us a while to find the place, because it looks like it had been boarded up from the outside - now we realise that's because it's meant to look like a pirate hang-out. We nabbed seats at the bar and the guys serving that day could not have been more helpful - helping the husband pick out the... More

I have lived in Baltimore for four years now and never knew about Heavy Seas and i'm so bummed I didn't know about it before!! Not only was the food good and was there an extensive beer selection, but the staff was incredibly friendly. Everything about it was great and i'm already planning my next visit!
