THE place to dine in Astoria! A fabulous menu, food cooked to perfection, with unmatched service! Divine! And that isn't including the gorgeous view of the Columbia River and the music serenading you on Thurs-Sat. Outstanding in every way!

Recommended by the b&b we were staying at. We ate in the pub not realizing there was a dining area. We discovered it when we went to view the sea lions from the glass floors looking down to the river. We stayed for another beverage as the view was amazing! Great service.

Bridgewater Bistro was a great restaurant in a beautiful setting with an excellent menu. Built in the old cannery area of Astoria, the restaurant location provides an excellent view of the water and Astoria bridge. Outside area would be fantastic during warmer weather. There is a small gift shop attached that sells locally made items. Food was delicious and menu... More

We stumbled across the Bridgewater Bistro on our family trip down Hwy 101. The food was good, got to sit outside on the deck overlooking the Columbia river. Food was good, the waitstaff very nice.

Cod fish and chips were cooked perfectly. French fries were average flavor wise and the clam chowder was not to our tastes as it was tomato based. Service was slow, but the view and friendliness made it worthwhile. Owners were onsite and took an active interest in their business - just appeared to be a bit short staffed.

I highly recommend the chowder here. It has a touch of curry, which makes it unusual. Other items were delicious too. The only not-perfect thing we had was the crab escargot, which was unbelievably salty and drowning in butter. Less of both would make this a great, imaginative dish. Do make a reservation! And sit by the fire while you... More

Group stopped for dinner. They agreed to individual checks which was appreciated. Food was good but not outstanding. My prime rib was a ribeye they did on a grill so that was a little dissappoining but others seemed to enjoy their meal. My only complaint is they insisted we be there by 5:30 or they would not take us. This... More

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We are glad you enjoyed your overall experience, but sorry you were not as pleased with our prime rib steak. We offer it that way so that we can have prime rib on our menu every day of the week. Our policy of not taking large groups between the prime times... More

You can sit either outside or inside. Wonderful views -- of the water or along the wharf. Food is very good as is the service.

I'd recommend a reservation---we waited 20 minutes for a table on a Tuesday night. The wait was worth it though. Absolutely, the best clam pasta I've had in years. The fish and chips was battered in rice flour, so it was very light. The peach-amaretto sorbet was the right touch to end the meal. Our waiter was fantastic and they... More

Third visit and wonderful again. First and foremost are the Willipa Oysters from the cool waters across the Columbia river in Washington. I learned to eat fine oysters here. The wine list is great. Lots of California wine as well as local. The views are so relevant to the dining experience, it is relaxing and the way a restaurant should... More
