The pizza restaurant upstairs (through the side door or up the spiral staircase inside) gets really busy, so reservations are recommended. Downstairs is a family-friendly, casual pub, so just find a table, then order at the bar. Good food, good beer and appreciated the board games upstairs.

We had a marvelous time at Fort George brewery. I am not a beer drinker and they served me a nice little glass of red wine in a Fort George stemless glass. That made me happy. One friend that was with me what is a connoisseur of beer said she loved the IPA. Another friend didn’t want to really drink very much beer so he just sipped on his paint and waited for the luscious pizza. We ordered a meat eater‘s pizza and it was fantastic. Well, maybe the bacon was too well done. The sun was out, the views are great, and we sat outside on an upper deck that allowed one of our friends to bring his dog up. The dog liked licking the clam chowder bowl. I definitely recommend Fort George brewery.

When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, the hostess upstairs said there would be a 30 minute wait. We put our name on the list and went downstairs to get a beer. There are tables outside downstairs but it is self service. Before we could even order our beer, my phone dinged that our table was ready. It was no more than 5 minutes. They have indoor and outdoor seating and they have a decent water view over the top of some buildings. Service was good, not great. The IPAs we ordered were a-OK. We shared a 12” pizza that was half Forest and half Carnivore. Both were very good with a fair amount of toppings. The outer crust is thick while the bottom crust is pretty thin. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder which tasted good but was lukewarm. It’s open and airy inside so it was just as pleasant as sitting outside. We would return!

I dropped in to the pub for a late dinner recently. Here's my opinion.
The re-purposed building is nice; the beer was very good; but the food was absolutely terrible.
I ordered a chicken sandwich. The chicken wasn't even a normal piece of chicken, just what seemed like some chicken nugget pieces. Overly breaded, overly cooked, and generally tasteless, particularly with only a tiny smear of "fort sauce" on a somewhat charred bun. The fries were soggy and barely lukewarm.
I've had far better chicken sandwiches at McDonald's, Wendy's, and Chick-Fil-A; at a third the price.
This place is run like a fast-food restaurant. After you order, someone leaves the food on your table, and you never see them again; never coming back to ask how everything is, should you need to comment about it.
And when you pay, the bill suggests a tip of 18%, 24%, or 30%. Supposedly that's a tip for the service, which is basically non-existent.

This restaurant has an upstairs area that is mostly pizza and a downstairs area that is mostly burgers. We were at the upstairs area on a busy Friday night. We ordered a pizza from the menu ( nothing special) and waited 45 min for it to arrive to our table. No one came by in those 45 min to check our drinks , we had a show to go to at 7:00 and we’re getting a bit worried , we arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 and finally got our food at 6:20. The pizza was ok, the crust was burned and I thought it could have used more cheese. The staff was very pleasant when we did deal with them. There is no dedicated parking, you have to find a place on the street and parallel park.overall it’s ok, maybe go during the week instead of the weekend for quicker service.

It was a crowded night which made finding a table hard. It was a fast casual set up so you order at the bar but take it to your table. There were other people standing around waiting for a table which was the only way we could figure out how it worked. We kept walking through the different rooms looking for a free or clean table because it was hard to see from the frint. Eventually, we found a table that hadn't been bussed yet, it seemed to take forever for the busser to come to clean it off and when they did they didn't wipe it down. We waited for them to come back but they never did, going and clearing other things first. Finally see sat at the waiting table before it was snagged by another hungry family. The table was dirty and wet but we figured the busser would be back soon. We had to get his attention and ask for it to be cleaned to which he handed us his dirty bus rag for us to wipe the booth down.
From there things were great. Delicious food served quickly in spite of how busy it was. It was one of the best burgers I had had in a while.
It feels like the only problems with this place could be solved by hiring one host to just help people find a table.

We called about an hour or so ahead of our arrival , made a reservation for two, ( recommended) but when we walked in the door there was a split to go upstairs or downstairs, two different food options. We would not have known this except we researched online. By the way... they are open for dining in. The website needs to be brought up to date.
We wanted a burger. No one greats you( don't expect that) we had to figure out how the system worked on our own. You grab the paper menu and drink list sit your butt down wherever you want to be , then you go up to the roped off area and order. After you order and pay a lvery non enthusiastic individual ( no name or introduction) will bring you your food slap it down ( not ask you who ordered what) and walk away. The stout we chose was good! And our burger was delicious ( thank you cook)
We ordered chips and salsa... dont bother their bagged greasy Juanitas served cold with crumbs included and jar salsa in a small plastic condiments container. We were told they have pizza upstairs.
Cool bathroom with art painted on the wall made you feel like your in a cabin. The sink hand dryer was very cool.
We would come back again and try the pizza. ✌🏼 Peace

First of all, I used to LOVE this place for pizza. The crust IS luscious. Unfortunately they've changed their menu selections and their pepperoni is just nasty. Arugula on a pizza is wrong. It's frustrating that they make this great crispy crusted pizza with so lousy of toppings and no customizing. They used to have a really tasty Hawaiian choice but no more. I sincerely wished they just post an expanded list of available toppings and let customers decide what they want on their pizza.

Had seen a review of the Brewery on a TV show where they were making Crab Cakes. They looked great and we were looking forward to them. We made reservations and arrived to be told our reservations were on the top floor. We were told to climb a steep spiral stair case. We are in our 70's and that was an effort. We then entered a large loud room and were handed a menu, My mouth was watering for those great looking crab cakes and a cold beer. The only thing they were serving was pizza! The hostess told us they stopped making dinners 4 years ago. After all the effort I was sooo disappointed we left

Although the Fort George Brewery + Public House is still take out only, they have some large tables in the outdoor courtyard where they will bring your food to you. The food was great. We got a mix of items in our large group and everyone was happy. I really enjoyed my Ahi Fish & Chips. The beer was tasty. I tried the Pale Ale. The SWAG at the check out counter is very tempting as well. The brewery has certainly added to the revitalization of this coastal community.

I am not a big fish person. Since I was at the coast I decided I wanted fish and chips. Their fish was the best golden , moist, flaky and delicious tuna I have ever had. I was really happy I ordered it. My 9 year old granddaughter was not sure she would like it. She was pleasantly surprised and told her mom. I really do like tuna!

It makes no sense to me that I can’t get a burger on the top floor. I don’t like pizza ,lucky for the restaurant it was the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had .don’t think the restaurant has enough staff our server was also the bartender -she was running around like a chicken with out a head .but the food was excellent .if you want a burger you have to have it downstairs and if you want pizza you have to have it upstairs and you can’t combine bring one to the other floor —— not right

Nice place in downtown Astoria. Was greeted quickly and educated on the 2 different areas of the restaurant and pub. The down stairs or main level has indoor and outdoor seating-the food and beer selections are different depending on which u choose. We picked upstairs because of the ocean view there. Upstairs offers a wide variety of beers and pizza. My husband and I choose to do a flight of beers and we both ordered a small pizza. The small pizzas are definitely big enough for 2 people so we had a good amount of leftovers. The staff was friendly and attentive and the beer was good. They also have a small merchandise shop next to the outdoor seating.

The food was trash even after drinking a couple beers. Firstly, they put the steamer clams in a bucket so you can't get any of the broth until you reach the bottom. The broth wasn't that flavorful so you're not missing out on much but it's still bizarre. The rest of the food was super salty and certainly not worth $15. It was pretty busy in there so I understand that our server was busy but we literally saw him once. This place is way too expensive for serving such bland food. Very disappointing.

We needed some guidance on how things work there.
1. Upstairs is pizza and beer
2. Downstairs is Beer and Pub Food
3. There’s a separate building that’s the taproom and that’s just beer.
If I got this wrong keep the hate mail down to a minimum please.
Service there was great the food was excellent I had a grilled tuna sandwich my wife had a hamburger the fries are to die for! some of the best I’ve had in a long time.
And so many beers it take you a long time to go through them. Dee Snider Weissen was killer!
So go and enjoy a nice pint and some savory food. Go!
