The location isn't great. The decor isn't great. The food is FABULOUS! I had searched high and low for decent Indian food in Suffolk county and had been disappointed time and time again. I stumbled across this place and have been back several times. The...food--every dish I've tried--has been amazing. I ask for medium spicy--they give it to me. The ingredients are fresh--the spices are sublime and DELICIOUS--did I mention, better than any other place I've tried in Long Island?! They have a lunch time buffet and a dinner buffet--each dish more fabulous than the next. I can't say enough good things about this place. And by the way--I rarely give out an "excellent" rating. I recommend and will return!More

I placed an order to take out. The food was very fresh and even though it was prepared while I waited, it came out quicker than I thought, most likely because it was late on a week night.

Hi again! It's the travelin' travel agents from Consumers Travel World---This restaurant on the corner of a strip mall, facing a main drag in the middle of Long Island, has much to recommend it, and much to improve on. We were there at dinnertime on...a Thursday, and the place was empty. We had called earlier and no one answered. It seems they close from 3PM to 5PM---so leave a recorded message!! Service was attentive and we greatly appreciated the waiter's help in choosing items from the extensive (and EXPENSIVE) menu, since one of us asked for practically no heat at all. We were told that lentil soup (the only soup choice) was out because it was extremely hot. The items we chose were, as promised, very mild. The bread was terrific. The mango drink was great. And the dessert was complex and wonderful. The problems---the vocal music was authentic, but somewhat shrill and annoying to these Western ears. Sitar music would have been less imposing and equally authentic. The main complaint was that the amount of food was scant, considering the price. We had a lamb dish and a chicken dish, with the small amount of each swimming in an enormous amount of sauce. The prices here would be considered midrange if there was more food in each dish. The same "complaint" goes for the desserts, et al. (Al who?) Fortunately, we used a restaurant coupon. Could that be the reason for the small portions? And so, considering that this is not a fancy place in a fancy neighborhood, the prices should have reflected much larger portions----leading to a much better rating.More

Curry Kabob has some of the best, if not the best Indian food on Long Island and I have been to many, many others. The weekend buffets offer many excellent dishes to choose from and is a great method for beginners to sample the cuisine....They also offer lunch buffets and a full a la carte menu with many tons of choices. I personally recommend the Chicken Karahi and Chicken Achari. The raita, a yogurt sauce typically used to help cool the palate, is delicious, but spicy. The atmosphere is very casual but friendly.More

The food is tasty. Like many Indian restaurants, they close at 3pm for a couple hours to get ready fo dinner.I see that as a minus. If I'm hungry at 3:25pm and they're not open I see that as lost revenue & frustration.Decent sized &...tasty portions, very friendly staff with good service. Ambiennce is ok.More
