We ate here on recommendation of some locals. Everything from sandwiches, New Mexican food, and steaks and seafood. The margarita my ordered was just okay, a little too sweet for our taste. Chips and salsa were free, good salsa. I ordered the ribs (great) and my wife the shrimp scampi (fair, shrimp a bit overcooked). The staff was great. We... More

Quite busy for a Wednesday, probably a good sign of things to come. Had the ribeye steak and baked potato, was not disappointed. Service was really good.

We discovered this restaurant while on a road trip to Arizona. Grants, NM is right off the highway. Now it is a must go restaurant if we are on a trip taking us out west. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside has a vintage supper club look. The food is very good in general, but I would... More

Food is great here. Service is good too. It's good for lunch or dinner. There is a place in the back for large parties.

There's around 15 tables and a small bar. The room is dim but nice. The wait staff was extremely attentive, even bringing us a fresh glass with each refill. My husband had the chopped sirloin, baked potato, hot rolls and a nice side salad. I had 2 cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, chips and salsa for around $20 before tip. We... More

Local spot for good food. We were there on a Thursday night and the place was packed. You can tell this is a good local spot where everyone knows everyone. We were just passing through and found this place on trip advisor. The service was good and the food tasted excellent. Very flavorful and reasonably priced.

The single window (la ventana) gives the impression this might be a dive bar. But go inside and you'll find a funky, dark but welcoming place that's obviously where the locals go for a nicer meal. Ribs, New Mexican, steaks, and seafood--both our selections were delicious and the platters traveling to other tables looked good, too.

It's 6:00 pm in Grants, New Mexico. Where, you say? Grants, you know the little stop between Gallup and Albuquerque where you stay because all the other places in New Mexico are booked up for the balloon festival. In a starving state of mind, I go off in search of La Ventana, the restaurant in Grants with some awesome reviews.... More

Following up on other Trip Advisor reviews we had a super steak, tossed salad, and loaded baked potato dinner here 9/22. The place was already filling up at 5 pm. Our table had a rib eye, NY strip, and a sirloin. All were perfectly cooked to order; very flavorful aged beef. Oven roasted baked potatoes, home baked rolls, very fresh... More
