We had a lovely, cozy evening here. The food and service were good, but the pecan pie was the star of the show!

We were initially seated at this very tiny table downstairs, neither my Wife nor myself could place both legs under the table so we asked for another table and the waitress graciously moved us to another table. Two other couples were seated at the same tiny table and inside of five minutes each got up and went to the bar to... More
My wife and I made our annual visit to the Gettysburg area and finally decided to eat at the Dobbin House. At first, we were going to eat at their fine dining restaurant but changed out minds in the afternoon when we got a look at the Tavern after visiting the gift shop. So we returned for dinner and were... More
A spectacular tavern in the spirit of the Civil War. The food is great, had a the filet and crab cake together with the soup starter, it was marvelous. Had some of the local red wine, it was somewhat sweet but certainly different and very acceptable. The service was great and provided by people in period dress.
If you ask me, this is a "must eat" place in Gettysburg. Intimate. Candle lit. Nice menu choice, reasonable cost. Lots of history to be learned just from going to this restaurant. Great gift shop.
My family enjoyed a 40th wedding anniversary meal at the dobbin house this past weekend. The food was excellent. The only problem was the quarters were a bit cramped. However it was period style. Everyone was exceedingly pleased with the overall experience. Our waitress also did a superior job.
Dobbins House is the perfect place to continue experiencing the history of Gettysburg. Staff dressed in period garb; recipes from the past and present; candlelight dining in a lovely old inn atmosphere; and good food make this place unique. Prices are a bit on the upscale side but this is a great place for special occasion. Definitely a place you'll... More
Very nice 1776 tavern located downstairs from the Dobbin House offers nice casual dining. Small but very charming and definitely "old". Servers are dressed in period clothes enhancing the atmosphere. Our meals were very good. I had a mixed vegetable salad with grilled salmon. Their homemade herb dressing was very good. I always order dressing on the side to control... More
The Dobbin House is one of the oldest buildings in Gettysburg; it's what you would expect to find in an old inn. The wait staff is appropriately attired, and the furnishings are of the are of the 19th century. The food is excellent.
I loved the look of the building . The staff was very friendly . I loved the Celtic and older music . Very relaxing . I got the crab cake . It was amazing . They make everything from scratch . Their food is never frozen and you can tell . Best Meal I had all week . Go if... More
