We have been here many times however, this time I wanted to write a review to say how awesome it is every time! I have been here twice in 2 weeks with different friends of 7 or more. We had a great server each time! Food is always awesome! Sometimes you have to wait for a table for larger parties... More

The outside almost looks like a Harry Potter portal, with an ancient door, a narrow brick and slate exterior. A hopping place on a Saturday evening, the bar had an eclectic offering of beers. We ate dinner and wow, what great food! The onion rings were some of the best I've had, lighly battered with great seasoning. My son had... More

I am giving a good review because I had a good experience with the beer selection and the food. Service was great. My warning is this: If you are from the coastal south - Louisiana, Mississippi,Alabama or even the Carolinas you might not want to go here unless you are missing home, They have a lot of Louisiana - New... Really friendly pub with a great selection of beers. Menus looked good and had some interesting items. Serving was way too big and that actually detracted from the meal could have been 50% smaller. Ribs tasted great

Fabulous beer selection says hubby. Sazerac was ok Jumbo soup was a hit, along with the mac and cheese side. Collard Greens side was a miss with not a lot of flavor and a strange ketchupy taste. Rice and beens side delicious Coleslaw nothing to write home about. Fried catfish was greasy and a C at best. We've been a... More

I enjoy going to this bar with friends. It usually has a younger crowd, at least from my experience, which is fun. They have THE BEST vegan pulled pork. I get that every time I go. I don't know how they do it but it tastes just like an actual pulled pork sandwich. I love their mac and cheese too.... More

Deciding what to have was difficult, but eventually settled on hot chicken styled after Nashville, TN. It was hattie B's hot. Instead of white bread, a biscuit dough waffle. That part did not impress me like the chicken did. The pulled pork platter was a bit too much for my wife for lunch.

Vegetarian/vegan pub food?! Yes, please! At a recent conference trip to Philly, my friend and I stopped in this pub for three meals--two lunches and one dinner. I had seitan empanadas (special), vegan pulled pork sandwich, and seitan sausage and peppers sandwich. The empanadas were so impressive and packed with flavor. The pulled pork was messy and gooey and sticky.... More

Great pub serving New Orleans inspired food, gumbo, boudin balls, and the best fried oysters, all that and an amazing tap selection, one of my favorites in Philly.
