The restaurant is in a nice area. The service was okay, and the menu looked authentic. However, after trying their food I was not impressed. Some of the ingredient combinations they used did not fit, the presentation of some dishes (e.g. tres leches cake) was horrible, and the food was too bland. In addition, the portions are on the small... More

My wife and I stumbled on this place by accident and LOVED the neighborhood. When we were there we couldn't order from their full menu, it was restaurant week. Meaning we had a 4 course meal @ $35 per person. We had a few options per course, except for the first which was chips and guacamole. The guac was phenomenal... More

We chose to eat at Xochitl because it was within walking distance from our hotel and had good ratings on TripAdvisor. While we did not have a reservation, we were invited to sit at the bar, which featured the full menu. The hostess and waitress were both very nice, and the restaurant had plenty of seating. Decor was not over-the-top... More

Alex and I decided to have dinner at Xochitl during our visit in Philly (which is located on South 2nd Street about a 10 minute cab or uber ride outside of the main downtown area.) We quickly learned the title of the restaurant is pronounced (So-Cheel)... We ordered two regular house margaritas, which were absolutely delicious (only critique is they... More

We had a great meal at this charming restaurant in Society Hill. The place was fine for children. The waitstaff was attentive and accommodating. The tequila menu is extensive. The food was very, very good. The house made guacamole was excellent as was the fried chicken. The desserts were outstanding. The is restaurant moderately expensive but worth the price

We've eaten here a number of times, and it seems that the quality and taste of both the margaritas and entrees has been getting worse every time we go. The margaritas tasted a bit bitter and the crab ceviche smelled and tasted fishy. My husband had the beef brisket tacos, which were pretty good but not outstanding. When this place... More

Wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Fantastic Margaritas and delicious menu. Not quiet, but not too loud. I went on a Wednesday evening. I will come again!

A group of friends and I had dinner here on a Saturday night. It was nice. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. She checked on us several times. The guacamole is delicious and the blood orange margarita is outstanding. They were great accommodating my requests for no dairy. The salad dressing was a little bitter for my taste, but the...
