The restaurant is nice and cozy. The steak was thin cut (server told me thick) therefore they couldn't get it mid rare as I've asked but overalls the food is good!

The food was wonderful and the service was equally excellent. I dined here with five friends before the theater. The waitress knew we had to be out at a specific time and was very careful to plan the service around our time frame. I don't think there is a bad dish on the menu. I had the chicken in a... More

Friends took me to Mixto on a Saturday night. We had reservation at 7.15pm but were made to wait 45min at the bar. The place was very crowded. The menu looked interesting and reasonably priced. When our entrees arrived we were all excited because the presentation was really nice and the food looked very appealing. BIG disappointment when we tasted... More

My wife and myself had the misfortune to visit this establishment last night and found the food to be extremely bland and tasteless. Bruschetta to start with had no garlic, no onion and was super bland and dry, main course of ropa vieja was you've guessed it also tasteless. On complaining to the server her surly response was that she... More

We were riding high after beating the Philadelphia Union 3-1, and we wanted to keep the fun going. We were lucky to find this place by chance. The layout is really cool, as it takes up two floors in an old building. The service and food was 5 star too. We had the Ceviche, Steak, and Empanada. Everything was excellent!

Tried Mixto for the first time and could not have been happier with the experience. Started off the meal with one of the best margaritas I have ever ordered, while my companion enjoyed a fabulous Pisco sour. We then shared their special for the evening, the vegetable Mofongo. For my entree, I enjoyed the scallops which were cooked to perfection... More

Mixto provides great Cuban and Latin American food. The only negative may be that its a bit noisy, but that may just be part of the atmosphere provided. The Paella is large; two can share the smaller portion. The Ropa Vieja is excellent. A simple salad with steak may satisfy.

In town for a guys weekend and happened into Mixto for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The variety on the menu was outstanding. Even better were the Bloody Mary's that we enjoyed. The atmosphere was very relaxed and was a good mix of adults and families. We had a great view of the street scene and happenings. The food was... More

I am so happy to have found this restaurant in Philadelphia! If you want to experience Latin-american food, you should come to MIXTO. They have a general showcase of food from Argentina, Cuba, Colombia, Peru, etc; Caribbean and South-American food in general. You will find arroz con pollo, three kinds of empanadas, arepas, two kinds of churrasco, plátano maduro (which... More

Mixto hands down has my favorite menu in the city. I love their brunch, specifically the Costa Rican Breakfast. I always order it with the vegan chorizo which is divine. Their dinner is also very good. Their service is hit or miss, but I generally don't care because the food is so good.

Description
Mixto is a two-story natural wood and exposed brick building located on the east side of downtown Philadelphia on the historic Antique Row. We have been opened for ten consecutive years. Our vision has been to bring an array of flavors of the Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean cuisine to the Center City area. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with bar service and an extensive wine selection. Mixto offers outdoor dining with a South Beach Miami ambiance during the spring, summer & fall when the weather permits.
