So allot of you know and follow me and know unless really good, I almost never, can't even think of a time write a review cause what you are looking for is a goo place to go. Well I feel compelled to write this because it was so bad, and I never got to the eating part. I was calling... More

Delicious dinner - everyone found a pasta that they enjoyed! Calamari was delicious appetizer. Beautiful building - upstairs bar area was not open but beautiful room to just sit in. Casual atmosphere but lively with the singing. All the singers were excellent. Singing every 15 minutes or so... Would definitely go again. Not cheap but worth the splurge.

My husband and I visited Philadelphia for a family event. We arrived a day earlier so we could enjoy some sites, sounds and most especially tastes of the City of Brotherly Love. Originally, we wanted to dine at Bookbinders, But found out Bookbinders closed more than a decade ago, I searched for another place the was unique and part of... More

This was my second trip to Victor Café. Its got a local, homey feel. Almost miss it driving by, on a local side street. The bonus is the opera singing every 15-20 minutes. The wait staff are all trained opera singers, working tables in between gigs. The staff rotates through the singing duties, singing various operatic tunes, with a brief... More

Went to Victors with low expectations. I'm not into opera and Italian food is every where in Philadelphia. Well I was in for a SURPRISE! The opera was amazing and I found myself wishing I'd gone to an opera. The food was so good..we were too full for a sweet but it was really good. Everyone was incredibly nice. In... More

We had been wanting to visit the spot for quite a while. Made reservations about a week in advance and were told that there was a dress code of no jeans and no sneakers. I would definitely recommend having reservations for the weekend. The food and the atmosphere was fantastic. Waitresses were very friendly and every 1520 minutes or so... More

We went to dinner at Victor Cafe several times back in the 70's, when we lived in the Philadelphia area. Those were the days when the walls were lined with thousands of 78 recordings, and members of the Lyric Opera would come in after performances and take turns singing along with the recordings, sometimes standing on the tables to do... This is a gem of a restaurant, where the food is very good, the atmosphere even better, and best of all the wait staff are all trained opera singers. Very enjoyable and romantic evening for my wife and I (an old married couple in our 50s).

You will remember your visit to Victor Cafe for the servers, not the food. Not that the food is bad, it just isn't part of the Philly food "scene" going on right now. Every 20 minutes or so, one of the staff will ring the bell, tell you a little something about what they are about to sing and then... More

Surrounded by magnificent singers performing Happy Birthday. At least two of the waiters perform for the Opera Company of Philadelphia. All the performances (around 20 minutes apart) were extraordinary. Our table ordered the ravioli, veal piccata, chicken & polenta, salmon and branzino -- all delicious. Loved the Victor's take on spumoni. Wonderful evening
