I had a Nice italiandinner with a colleague of mine. We shared the antipasta and had a fishpasta as a main. It's a real authentic place. Missed fresh parmasan on the main. We'll come back.

Make a reservation on weekends and it is well worth it. The food and ambiance was excellent - the service was also very good. We ordered a variety of items and they were all well prepared.

This restaurant is living on its history. There are many great Italian restaurants and BYOB Italian eateries in Philly. Stay clear of this place. Very poor quality food and average service. Not one plate of the 7 of us was really anything special. I can get the same quality pasta or veal down my street and the local pizza shop.... More

Are here pre-race night to carb load and was the perfect meal. The restaurant itself has a small homie feel. You can feel the history around you. I ordered the Bucatini Ronaldo- a delicious combination of shrimp, eggplant and artichokes in a plum tomato sauce. The portion size was perfect, as I left feeling satisfied but not stuffed.

This is THE original Italian Restaurant. First in the US. Same family has been running it ever since. Historical plug out of the way, Ralph's is back in the neighborhood a bit but thankfully has cheap $10 valet parking which makes it #1 on my new favorite Philadelphia restaurants list!! Now we get inside this family restaurant and the food... More

I'm Italian. I've traveled through Italy and Sicily. I've marveled at the meals I've enjoyed there. So, it's not very often that a restaurant, even one founded in 1900, makes you feel like you're in Italy. The food, the atmosphere. Our group shared countless appetizers and main courses. They were all authentic and fantastic. I'll probably fly back out to... More

Last week, my family of 3 went to Ralph's for a late lunch. The staff was very accommodating to us as we had a later reservations but plans changed and they were able to seat us hours before the reservation. The dining room is pretty small but I heard there is a second level for additional seating. Our server was... More

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with Ralphs. It's old school Italian (oldest Italian restaurant in the nation) and the food is good reliable red gravy. Ample loaves of bread are provided, served with olive oil, butter, grated cheese and red pepper flakes on the table. Portions are large (many big enough for 2 to share). They tend to... More

I always try to go here with people from out of town. If you want good Italian South Philadelphia food. I haven't been here in a couple of years, and it really didn't disappoint!! we had the lasagna (yummy meat and sausage, better have you appetite)and we had gnocchi definitely special days for this unique restaurant. Parking is a bit... More

Our food was fantastic and the servers were very efficient. But I will probably never come back to this restaurant again, even though my friends and I visit Philadelphia quite often. My husband and I ate here with four other couples at 8 pm. We were seated upstairs. We were placed next to a larger group that was having a birthday... More
