We went here from a recommendation from a local. A $5.00-plus can of beer? My martini was $9 and was like a mini-martini. I made the mistake and subbed ahi tuna for fish in the fish tacos. It came severely overcooked and covered in sour cream. It was beyond gross. The crab mac was pretty good - but don't expect... More

Ordered a reuben sandwich which had more fat than meat. The presentation was very nice with plenty of sauerkraut which made up for the small amount of corned beef. The restaurant/bar, is a quaint establishment in a neighborhood location. The service is friendly and efficient. However the food was a huge disappointment.

We go there when we don't feel like cooking—it's our local neighborhood go-to-place. There's no decor to speak of (mostly it's a bar with an extended table area), but the food is great and it's really inexpensive. The scallops/ polenta/ aspargus entree is superb (I would pit it against any high end restaurant in town). I also love the brussel... More

My wife and I stopped in here by chance and I'm glad we did. The bartender and staff were very nice and the service was great. The other customers seemed to be "regulars" and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food was fantastic!! We even ordered extra to take back home with us to Chambersburg. We will definitely make... More

This bar has a nice vibe, decent seating, friendly service. The reason for the 3 stars, well the food. This kitchen uses quality product, our salmon was cooked nicely, many restaurants tend to overcook salmon... Scallops could have used slightly more sear, fresh cut fries great, the crab Mac and cheese was a miss... The general issue with the food... More

We had some time before a flight and wanted to watch one of the World Cup Matches that was on before we headed to the airport. After a brief and disappointing stop at a bar several blocks away, we stopped by the New Wave Cafe on recommendation from a relative. Our intention was to have a few beers and MAYBE... More

I was taken here for lunch. It is in an ethic neighborhood, which I was excited to see, but the place/area/neighborhood ended up being kind of run down. It reminded me of 2010 East London. The food was horrible. Greasy/Oily. I was getting sick just watching people eat it. The people at my table that is. We were the only... More

This place is super fun. I've been numerous times. They have a great beer selection, good jukebox, darts, pool and awesome food. It's a corner bar in a great neighborhood and I always have a blast there.

New Wave is a bar/restaurant in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia. My friends who live a few blocks away took me here to show off their neighborhood. The crowd is pretty young, local and fun. There are tvs showing sports, a good draft beer selection and a hit and miss menu. You don't really come here for the food... More

I live in queen village and only went because restaurant across the street had an hour wait. Grab an app , it was barely edible. Saw someone arguing very loudly with some people . Found out it was the owner. Isn't that nice? An owner yelling at customers, that won't be me,will never go back. There are way better bars... More
