Upon good recommendations, my husband and I went for our anniversary (hoping to have a nice romantic dinner). We requested a quieter area... but were seated next to a really loud large party!!! We politely asked if there was somewhere else we could sit, so...More

Don't be intimidated by the steps to various levels of seating in this old town house. The lighting and the décor add to a feeling of being in a happening place. The food is very good and harkens to its Cuban roots but surprises at...More

My wife and I ate there last night for the first time. The atmosphere is dark and romantic with Caribbean jazz playing. Our waiter Craig was excellent. His description of the dishes makes you want to try them all. We started with the Creviche Thai...More

We typically head to Alma de Cuba during every trip to the city. Food is great, mojitos wonderful, and ambiance lively. One of the best Cuban restaurants I've ever tried and that includes some great ones in southern Florida.

We had a late reservation for a Friday night and the place was in full swing when we arrived. Despite the Old Havana exterior the interior is modern Miami, with a lounge at the first level and two levels of dining above. Our table on...More

Alma de Cuba is a treat for those with a small sense of adventure. The décor is, as described elsewhere, Miami chic, as are the waitstaff. But the service is attentive and relaxed, not a small accomplishment, and the food is a delicious alternative to...More

I can't imagine what drove a recent reviewer on this site to accuse this restaurant of a "shameful and unfortunate decline." My gluten-free wife and I had a truly memorable experience that left us talking about our meals for the rest of the night. Let's...More

I came here with two people who had little experience with Cuban food and they were in love! The decor was Contemporary Miami chic. A lot of white with splashes of color. The service was impeccable and friendly, and as a person of Hispanic descent...More

Yes - but I have not ordered wine in my three visits. I usually expect this as a standard at my favorites, but their Cuban/Caribbean drinks are so great... I never thought about it. Nor did my many guests.

Dressy casual is fine, but you wouldn't be out of place if you were dressed up.
