This place is pretty much Greek tapas. The servings are simply too small for the price. We ran up a big bill and left hungry. The crowd was pretty nice and the setting in general modern and trendy. There are much better places to spend...More

Stopped in Opa for a drink and snack during Happy Hour. It is a lovely restaurant with an extensive Greek menu to choose from. I ordered their spicy duck taco on the recommendation of the bartender. It was very good. Looking forward to returning and...More

Modern twist on a number of traditional Greek dishes. Particular favourites include the saganaki with the apricot compote, scordalia with pine nuts and the grilled octopus with toursi (pickled vegetables). Reasonably priced and good service. Highly recommend!

I grew up in Detroit, where they actually have a Greektown area that's bursting with Greek restaurants, pastry shops, etc. And ever since they built stadiums for the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions right next door, hotels and casinos have been sprouting up in...More

Greek-style food in a quaint little spot in downtown Philly. Food was incredible. Service was excellent (thank you, Jesse and other staff). A great find with a nice atmosphere. Only downsides: 1) no option suitable for kids. Now, it's really not a family restaurant to...More

First time at brunch. Only party in the restaurant. Service not on target, server could not explain some items on the menu. Bloody Mary not as described on the menu. Food good, but portions very small. Figured out why other spots had lines outside, and...More

This was my first time visiting and we had a larger group (12). We ordered all sorts of small plates from the menu- the food comes out as it is ready so we had a steady stream of terrific flavors. The staff was very nice...More

We stumbled upon Opa just because we were tired and it was directly behind our lodging. Boy did we luck out! The 4 of us decided to order the Chef's Four Course Dinner as recommended by our outstanding server, Stephanie. It was the most amazing...More

I ordered several things off the small plates style menu when I was here with a coworker for dinner a few nights ago and everything we tried was delicious. It was also so much food that we had to take quite a bit of it...More

Description
Opa is a new Modern Greek restaurant and bar located in Center City's Midtown Village neighborhood. The menu features a fresh take on traditional Greek flavors. Featured items from the mezedes (small plates) include herbed keftedes (meatballs) in a ouzo-tomato sauce, octopus and spinach croquettes served with a smokey feta dip. Large plates offer a variety of items such as striped bass and pastitsio. The signature cocktail list and Greek wine selection offer the perfect complement to your meal. Acclaimed designer, Jun Aizaki/Creme, created an alluring setting which includes a striking birch branch canopy.

Walk-in seating is available at the 24 seat bar and offers the full menu.
