We stumpled upon this place during a day trip, looking for some lunch of the cheesy variety. The staff was friendly and accommodated us (even with a baby) swiftly. The food was very good all around, top mark for the restaurant would have been earned had the restrooms been a bit more op to scratch.

I was recommended the place by a mice police officer who strongly advised I do not hit the place I had found online at first (bad neighborhood and apparently bad food). Let's say I'll definitely ask more locals before going anywhere for food. I had their house philly cheesesteack and it was delicious. Also huge portion, and the fries were... More

We stumbled upon this place on accident a couple years ago when we visited Philly. The weather was nice and we wanted to enjoy a beverage outdoors and we walked by this place and saw they had a nice patio. The food was great, there is a large beer selection and the people treat you like you've been there 100... More

We were headed to Jim's for a cheesesteak, as we had been there before but the line was out the door and down the street, so we wondered into Jon's. I actually preferred their Philly cheesesteak to Jim's as you could order it more loosely, great service, they give credit to Larry of the 3 Stooges fame also.

We were there on a very hot day, so we didn't have the chance to sit upstairs at their rooftop tables, but the inside was lively and friendly. The waiter was most helpful in suggesting several different types of beers for us, and he was stop-on. Our nacho platter was loaded with everything and our hummus was creamy and delicious... More

Strolled in here and was surprised in a good way. It's on South Street, which can be kitschy and tacky. But Jon's was just a good bar with good food. Ordered a walnut/cranberry/grilled chicken salad, which isn't exactly what comes to mind when one thinks bar food. This salad was great. Large, fresh, hearty, tasty. I really enjoyed it. Plenty... This may not be the fanciest place, but the food is outstanding. They also have a nice selection of "craft" beers on tap. Service is very good, atmosphere very casual and comfortable. This will definitely be a regular stop for me whenever I visit Philadelphia. Highly recommended+++

We stopped here because one of my sons favorite you tubers go here. We ordered four slices of pizza. They were $3.50 a slice. My wife had no idea how large the pizza slice would be. I actually finished mine and ended up eating here's too. The pizza was delicious and you can add your own spices and seasonings right... More

This place was great! I came down to South St to see a concert at The TLA, and we just happened to walk by Jons and there was no wait so we ventured in. It was such a fun atmosphere, lots of outdoor seating right on South St, and the service was on point. I do not drink but they... More

Jon's Bar and Grille is by far the best bang for your buck. If your looking for a fast pass to flavor town then order the clams or even the mild/BBQ combo wings. I've had everything on the menu, twice, and let me tell you - everything is scrumptious! The buffalo mozzarella sticks are home made and out of bounds... More
