We've eaten here many times over the years, and have always enjoyed a great meal each time. The menu features many traditional favorites / classics, and they're always well executed. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting, and it's a great place for a romantic...More

Magical. Totally unpretentious "mountain" fine dining. The fireplace in the center of the room (romantic) the table side Banana Foster (delicious) the late day scenic view (breathtaking). All of this makes for an exceptional and memorable evening... but you had me at Banana Foster

Everything was delicious. Several of our party had the duck and others had the diver scallops. Side dishes and sauces were flavorful. Dessert was the spectacular bananas foster. I highly recommend for a nice dinner out.

This is one of the better places near Mammoth Lakes, but it doesn't have a lot of competition. First of all, what I don't like is they don't put prices on their online menu. I had a rib eye steak that was ordered medium but...More

Who knew that in such an out of the way location was such an amazing restaurant! We started in the bar with drinks, then transitioned to the restaurant. The bar is cool, and casual. Then we made our way in to the restaurant. Reservations are...More

Brought hubby & two teenagers here after a day of fishing the valley. Every detail was tended, despite our informal attire. Beef Wellington, Frenched Chicken— we were all amazed at this culinary gem high in the Sierra. Can’t wait to find a reason to return

I first ate at the Convict Lake Restaurant, with my parents, the day it opened in 1957. I had their "Butterflied Fried Shrimp". Since then, I have frequented it when ever I am in the area (which is not often enough). For a restaurant that...More

Back at Convict Lake last week, passing through. Renewed our love affair with the place from years past. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with a beautiful fireplace in the middle of the main dining room. Service was impeccable and the food prepared perfectly. We were...More
