We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The bar staff is top notch! The drinks are delicious and well balanced. We sat at the bar-beautiful copper top, and had drinks and appetizers, which were certainly enough for a meal. We will return! The staff was very helpful in assisting us with our choices and so many drinks to choose from makes it... More

First time at the Speakeasy. Very cool environment and the menu is presented in books with the rules of the restaurant. Extensive drink options and not a bad menu. However, when we found a large clamshell in the mashed potatoes that didn't leave a good feel. And then when we received the bill and each drink was $12 that was... More

Stopped in for a few drinks last night. I absolutely loved the concept and the atmosphere. The clearly specialize in mixed drinks and cocktails, and the will gladly tell you as much. The pretentious/hipster vibe is through the roof. And, It really doesn't have to be that way. My date ordered some sort of mixed drink, she seemed to like... More

We wanted somewhere special to eat before concert and this was definitely it. Very different historical atmosphere, dark, charming and great service. It may have been overpriced but food was amazing and we had a GREAT TIME.

Restaurant is very small and actually in what looks like the basement of a house. You enter through a side door which was totally unexpected. Very cool decor and atmosphere. Very dark and romantic vibe with books everywhere. If you want a table definitely make a reservation otherwise you'll be at the bar. My husband and I sat at the... More

This place is so delightfully charming. The food is very good. I judge a lot of restaurants by their calamari. It was excellent! One of the best I’ve had. We also had the crab dip and it was quite yummy! The band sounded great and was very entertaining. We sat right next to the band. It was loud but we... More

My family had dinner at the Bookstore for the first time on Saturday evening. The was delicious, the drinks were great and the service was wonderful. We are looking for someplace we had not been to for dinner before my daughter's graduation and this restaurant was recommended. The food and service did not disappoint!

I always wanted to have dinner at a speakeasy and finally did it. The decor was definitely reminiscent with oil lamps and book decor. It was really dark which made it hard to read the menu or see your food. The food and drinks are really overpriced for what you get in size or quality. I got the duck confit... More
