Recent dinner at the 1741 on the Terrace was very good. Everything about the meal was excellent. The only slight disappointment was the pork dish was a it on the dry side. The service was excellent and the dining room is quite elegant. The historic tile on the floor is beautiful. Overall a very good experience and we would return... More

Feels like the 1950's; food ok, wait staff stuffy and unfriendly. Locals go there for expensive food and formal atmosphere.

We recently had dinner at 1741. It was our first time there but definitely won't be our last. The food, ambience and service were above and beyond what we expected. It was very nice and quiet with an amazing view and we are looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch soon.

Visited the Terrace for a date night and could be happier. The food and service were top notch, we had the cheese plate as an appetizer, I enjoyed the fact that the cheeses were local and fresh. The drinks were great, and love that they offer local spirits from Social Still made right in Bethlehem. We both had steaks for... More

1741 on the Terrace has long been my favorite restaurant in Bethlehem. Located in Hotel Bethlehem, this restaurant has an elegant, old-world charm to it that echoes the vibe of the hotel. The dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking historic Main Street, framed by beautiful dark woods. This year was the first we've visited during the holiday season and the... More

We had dinner last night and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the beet salad that had both red and golden beets. Our table had the halibut and the lamb chops and all were excellent. The only downside was that it was a very busy evening for the hotel and it took a long time for us to receive... More

The Terrace is a wonderful eegant settign with high, high ceilings and Henry Mercer original tiling on the floor. Our tble was slightly deayed but handsomely dealt with by a most thoughtful and courteous maitre de. A classicly set table, a somewhat imited menu but beutifully prepared and presented. We will go again.

38 years ago we stayed at Hotel Bethlehem for our wedding night. Last night we celebrated our anniversary in the restaurant there. It was comparable to our meal at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant! Every detail was taken care of. I had requested a bottle of champagne for the table and when we arrived we were told it was compliments of the... More

If I was rating this experience solely on the food, I would give it only a four. The meal was very good, but the service and overall ambiance of the hotel were fantastic. The hotel is stunning and the entertainment was wonderful! We grabbed a drink at the bar since we arrived a few minutes before our reservation. The singer... More
