Coming to the 1742 on the Terrace is a delightful experience. When I walk in the door and Francoise is working, I immediately feel at home. Francoise welcomes me like a friend or family member into a home. She always has a smile on her face and always looks stylushly beautiful. My favorite waitress that I always try to request... More

The 1741, located in the Historic Bethlehem Hotel on Main street, is not to be missed. Huge main room with Moravian tile floors (which apparently were discovered only recently during their renovations and after they removed the carpeting) and floor to ceiling windows. The menu is short but very well prepared and presented. Try both the Filet Mignon and the... More

The interior of this restaurant is beautiful and speaks to the historic attractiveness of the hotel. It has about 20 tables(not all filled) and, the night we went, 3 wait staff (and 2 managers?) They seemed frazzled (which I really don't get) super friendly but slow and bringing people the wrong food. The menu is very limited- 6 entree offerings... More

My sister took me out for my birthday on Monday and I really wanted to eat at hotel bethlehem and enjoy the food and the beautiful decorations. I knew it was a long shot because I had seen on the news that the hotel was full. But we gave it a shot. The hostess couldn't have been nicer but explain... More

This was our 3rd Christmas Eve dinner in the 1741 room. The hotel and the dinning room were decorated exquisitely. The food was just average. Our food was mediocre and a bit on the cold side and we were disappointed in the service. It was not what we had come to expect from past years. We have decided to take... More

Both service and food were excellent....the atmosphere was warm and inviting....like being in Victorian times. The hotel also has a lovely gift shop with fabulous items.

We celebrated our Holiday Family Day at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem yesterday. It was outstanding on every single level. Simply put, the food, service and ambiance were all magnificent. A special treat for the youngest member of our family (aged 6) who enjoyed being the center of attention once Mr. & Mrs. Claus found her. ;-) A truly memorable experience... More

The room and location are wonderful. We dined on a Saturday during the heart of Bethlehem's Christmas season, and were glad we had reserved weeks in advance. It's a famed hotel with many private events going on, and I feared it would suffer the "hotel food" syndrome, but "1741 Terrace" was superb. They do it with a limited menu (wisely)... More

Can't say enough... Wonderful and magical. Christmas decorations were great and the hotel itself is beautifully restored. The food was excellent. We went for brunch. The staff was very accommodating as it was our 25 th wedding anniversary. There is a lovely shop inside where we made some purchases. Santa and Mrs Clause were there as well as live music.... More
