What a find! In the middle of the desert and the middle of Death Valley is a Saloon with great food and drinks. We had lunch there after a long, uphill hike and boy did we need that place. There is a small hotel, gift shop and general store and not much else. Well worth the stop. Oh, and prices... More

The food and service were bland. It will get you out of trouble, but I would recommend heading to Panamint Springs to have a better meal. There was nothing special about it to be honest. I tried Diet Coke and Sprite and both had an awkward taste to them. Not sure what was up with that. I had a hamburger... More

We stopped in to cool down and have a cold drink and ended up staying for a couple of hours. Rustic western and wood decor is very suited to the area and the name. A pool table is there for anyone interested. We didn't eat a meal but ordered appetizers. The bacon wrapped dates in prickly pear sauce were really... More

I watched a bit of football while eating lunch on a sunday afternoon. The prices were moderate and the had a few choices of food to choose from.

We watched the final ncaa game here. The bartender was friendly and poured a good drink. The menu is very limited. We wedge with blue cheese was good. The pizza very average. The tables and booths look like they have been around for 50 years.

We didn't we waited in line for 45 minutes then to be seated to say there was a backup in kitchen and food would take awhile, we turned to the people next to us and they had been waiting for an hour for food - did not wait to be disappointed

We came here for lunch, as only the Saloon was open. When we got in, the sign says "wait to be seated." So we waited, which took 10 min. Then the waiter said "sit wherever you like." If you're going to tell me that, just remove the sign. We ordered ham and cheese sandwich and the club. The club was... More

This was our only option when staying in our Death Valley motel, unless we were willing to drive, but thankfully it was a good experience. As a family of four adults and four older kids (aged 10-15 years), we were all happy with the burgers and chips that we had after a long day of driving. The local guy who... More

We enjoyed this restaurant. We had the Corn Queso dip for an appetizer. It was delicious! I had the Bacon-Cheeseburger. My husband had the Club Sandwich. We both enjoyed our food. Our server was awesome! It was very busy and he was waiting tables and tending bar. He took great care of us. Refilled my drink constantly, made sure we... More

Was looking for a 5 star experience because I have had that here in the past years! So I encourage my friends after hiking 6 miles to have lunch at the saloon. Waiter tells us our beer choices that were listed on the menu are not available. Then does offer 2 beer choices not listed on the menu. We patiently... More
