I like to go out to eat a good breakfast once in a while and I stopped at the Galloping Hen, just not sure what was galloping but this place is very good. Good service and fast, and the platters had large portions for the price. Had to take some home. Home style feeling and cooked to your desire. I... More

We dropped in for breakfast returning from an early trip. The server was very helpful and attentive. The California omelet was superb, especially the fresh mushrooms!

This has to be the best kept breakfast secret in town. It's a tiny little place that packs a punch, especially their Mexican breakfast dishes.

A favorite of my wife's and mine for over 20 years. Consistently great food with superb service. Their omelettes are phenomenal and plentiful! They also make a great spinach fritata that is almost two meals. You won't ever leave hungry!

While on a road trip found this charming family run breakfast and lunch located a couple of miles out of town from Ventura. Where should I begin?? Homemade biscuits, home made Salas and terrific omelets. Want biscuits and graveyard or bacon and eggs for a reasonable price and terrific service than go to Galloping Hen.

The setting was quaint and clean if a little worn around the edges. We had omelette and huevos rancheros The coffee and food were good The service was a bit slow and $30 for two of us wasn't outrageous. We would go back to try the pancakes.

Stopped in for breakfast while getting tires put on my truck down the street. Restaurant was dated inside, but clean , staff were friendly, ordered the bacon and egg's with hash browns and toast. Egg's were under cooked to my over easy , bacon was hard and hash browns were greasy. They do give you a lot of food but... More

Come hungry! This place makes awesome omelets! This time I had the bacon, swiss, tomato, spinach omelet with hen potatoes, yum! In the past I have had the over the top Chili Verde omelet which is well..... huge and delicious. The only downside was we were half way through our breakfast before we got our toast. There is really no... More
