My husband I both had the fish and chips which were very good, we could have easily shared the plate or skipped on the appetizer. We have walked by this restaurant several times before and were pleased we finally decided to eat here, not really...sure why we hadn't in the past, will be back next time we are in Ventura. Had "lunch Meal Deal" for $14. We had the Aloha Plate Lunch with grilled "Sutchi." (white fish). Great presentation, great food, great service.

Nice staff, they got us to a temporary table and then moved us to a better table as soon as one was free. Great appetizers, drinks, and steaks.

I ordered a filet mignon and it came out really tough and dry. Honestly this was one of the worst filets I have ever had. Many other people in our party had their orders screwed up or forgotten. One person in our party described their...ribeye as eating a leather shoe. Only redeeming feature of this restaurant is the view. But overall I would avoid as it’s pricy poor quality food.More

We brought a guest from out of state, thinking she would enjoy the view while dining. We ordered 2 French dip sandwiches and a burger, well done. The French dips arrived with nothing but a stale bun with microwaved meat. No horseradish, nothing. My friend...asked for hone mustard dressing and was given a container with mustard. For her salad. Yes, mustard. My burger was medium rare, not well done as requested. Slow service, terrible food. No longer a "go to" for our visiting friends.More

Because I heard there were issues with parking on the busy weekend we parked at the City lot off Calif St. and had an easy walk to Alohas. Because I was alone with three (well behaved) children they gave us a central booth that was...easy for me to monitor and assist each of them. We had quick service and the food was fabulous, the kids ate every bite of their generous portioned kids meals. With the new parking situation don't hesitate to still go to Alohas for a fabulous time!More

I found this place on-line and took a chance. Oddly enough it was next door to my Hotel. Three of us had lunch to celebrate my Mom's 90th birthday. Seated promptly and Taylor (our server) was on top of it. She was friendly and knowledgeable...concerning the menu. I had the filet. Cooked to perfection and sooo tender and flavorful. My son had the Halibut. My mom had the scallops. All of our entrees were cooked perfectly. Whatever you do, don't forget to try the Clam Chowder. It'll make your knees buckle. Went with 2 college friends for our mutual birthdays. We all had AMAZING, generous, delicious salads. The service was perfect and they treated us to Kona macadamia pie for our b-days--a great surprise. Highly recommend and great location on the waterfront.

The Aloha Steakhouse provides excellent, fresh and delicious food. I’ve had both steak and seafood. The food is outstanding. Highly recommend the surf and turf meal (steak and add lobster).
