This place had some decent ribs but, like everywhere else in town they tend serve them on the cold side. I couldn't find a decent serving of beans anywhere in West Texas. That was surprising. The coleslaw I was pretty decent. The brisket was a bit on the dry side and also served kind of cold. The real plus was they offer beef ribs here which was a nice change. Unfortunately everything was served kind of gold. I won't be returning

Go there pretty regular and the food is always good. I arranged for this place to cater an event at work and everyone was happy with what was served. I ordered a variety of their BBQ items with the fixins and picked it up hot and ready. I have also eaten inside there and the service is good as is the food. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys BBQ.

My BBQ sausage portion of the 2 meat combination plate saved this meal. The other meat was lean brisket which, while lean, was nothing special. True, I compare this brisket to the top BBQ joints in Austin and Houston, and it's just no match. State Line brisket doesn't line up. But the sausage surely does. Service is excellent and I also enjoyed the sides of cole slaw and baked beans. I was surprised at how few people were eating in the restaurant on a Sunday night, but maybe that's El Paso.

I wish I would have paid attention to the recent reviewers instead of the overall rating for Stateline. Do NOT pass by the recent reviews—they are spot on. For someplace which claims to be able to do BBQ well, this is definitely not their specialty! We got the 5 meat combo meal and all of the meats were chewy and not done well. The ribs were stuck to the bone, the marbled brisket did not melt in my mouth, and the peppered turkey was pretty mundane and what I would expect to get at buffet dinners. It was a HUGE disappointment and underwhelming. The best part of the meal was the bread and sautéed mushrooms appetizer.

This place had its ups and downs. The steak was good, the brisket was not. They tout their homemade bread, then serve it with some horrible “whipped butter blend”. My husband loved the potato salad, but the rest of the sides were mediocre. I probably won’t return.

Customer service gets an A+ for both server (Jessica) and the bartender who improvised to make me a jalapeño margarita. Now for the food… one word..SALTY. Omg ribs, mushrooms and even the coleslaw was loaded with salt. Felt like a heart attack meal. Nope, not for me.

First of all, they advertise that they open at 11. I get there and am told they don't open till 11:30. My server comes along and he's very knowledgeable and helpful. But the food was downright nasty. The brisket was tough, the sauce was not very generous, and they serve every plate with beans, cole slaw, and potato salad. The beans were bland and the cole slaw and potato salad were drowned in mayo. Why not give people a choice of sides?? No french fries, baked potato, corn or green beans?? And no rolls or cornbread!! What type of BBQ place is this?? I would not go there again.

After a long day on the road I was really hungry way past my usual dinner time. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs. I don't think I have ever had worse. they were undercooked, did not easily come away from the bone and, to boot, they did not incoude any eating utensils evn though I did not waive those. Save your money for better food than this. If the baby backs were so tough I'm glad I didn't order the beef ribs. I had this delivered to my motel room so I ahve no clue about the rewstaurant itself.

Stateline has been around for a long time. I am not a big fan of the restaurant simply because it is difficult to mass produced good quality fresh BBQ. What ends up happening is the best becomes dry while waiting to be served. This is the problem with Stateline. We are the turkey, ribs, and the brisket and every cut of meat was dry unfortunately. We have been here numerous times and every time it is the same. It is a local favorite so maybe expectations aren't high. I would rather go elsewhere.

State Line is a good place. They can be stingy on the meat amount , say in a sliced beef sandwich, Therre aer certain plates that are more generous. Get the meat plate and make your own sandwich. side salads are good-better than most places. The giant beef ribs are not my favortite. Nonetheless we dont have great BBQ places in El Paso. If you are from Czech country near San ANtonio.it might disappoint. I think it is harder in a dry climate to produce the same flavorand moistness of meat as the humid places of TX.

We returned to 915, and it had been a while since we had EP BBQ, which is different than North Dallas BBQ. The 3 monkies were left with grandma, and the parents went to the State Line. The State Line is located on the border of Texas and New Mexico. There is plenty of parking in the front of the building and the dining area is big. We arrived early in the day, and it was empty, which allowed this fat guy to order the all you can eat plate with 6 meats. The wife kept it conservative and ordered the BBQ sandwich. Before the meal, warm bread was brought to the table, and that started my weight to go up quickly. It was good. Our server brought me the sides, beans, slaw, and potatoe salad. Then, the animal farm arrived. The beef ribs were on point with the BBQ sauce, adding an extra something to it. The turkey was dry, and brisket had enough fat to have flavor. OHHH my, did I need a crane to get out? Yet, I felt a pain in my chest, not because of all the animal flesh I ate, or because I got fatter, it was the bill. If we had brought the boys, my credit card would have been declined. The total for 2 was $66 plus tip. Look, if you're in El Paso, you need to stop there to eat. it's a must.

A group of 6 ate there tonight, primarily because of TA reviews. We were extremely disappointed. We love Texas BBQ but this was overcooked and dry. We also objected to the lack of choices for side dishes, potato salad and Cole slaw. No alternatives for fries, baked potato or salad nor various types of BBQ sauces. I liked the sauces but others in group wanted a mustard/vinegar sauce. I had the margarita and it was basically tasteless and watered down. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and question your future recommendations.

I went in for lunch after reading multiple reviews touting the quality of this restaurant. I will say that the restaurant is quite clean and the staff is friendly enough. Sadly the BBQ ain't much...but what do you expect this restaurant in located in a desert...there aren't any trees to cut down to smoke meat around here. I ordered the combo plate lean brisket and pork ribs. The brisket was okay, but not special, light smoke flavor but it needed sauce. The ribs were down right bad. They were tough and had a sauce that tasted like it had orange juice in it. If I want an orange I'll peel one and eat it. I don't want orange on pork ribs. The sides were okay but nothing special. It is El Paso, go for Mexican food. If you want to look for good BBQ look about 500 miles to the east.

Managers here are useless. I had won a contest on Instagram and was awarded $50 giftcards to a few local establishments around town. I was assured via their official Instagram page that any manager working would be able to assist me in getting that card. When I get there I was treated as if I were trying to scam them, nevermind my rather large family having been loyal customers of their for years. I continued to show the manager all the back and forth messages between their page and myself and still he said I somehow made it up, falsified everything, and when I urged him to call hiring ups it seemed like too much work for him. I finally got ahold of the marketing department that was communicating with me after repeatedly messaging them. I informed them of how very rude their mananger was and I got an insincere apology. I walked out of there furious, unsatisfied and offended. The food was cold of course due to all the back and forth with them. Safe to say we won't be back.

The beef ribs are beefy, gigantic and at least 6 inches long. The St. Louis pork ribs were juicy and the meat falls right off the bone. I had the ribeye and should have ordered ribs after all that’s what they’re famous for. All of the sides, beans, coleslaw, baked potatoes were very tasty. We had the house Cabernet with our meal and it was perfect. Order the ribs and don’t forget the cobbler you will not be disappointed.
