Homer’s is far less homey

Before Homer’s moved to its new location, it was a bit rough around the edges but in a good way. The formerly old and cozy location is now large and less inviting. Service has declined noticeably and the food seems less homey and original—more chain-like. In short there are now better alternatives.

Great food and superb service!

We love the variety of food at Homer’s. It’s like eating at home still eating Mama’s home cooking!!! The staff is awesome…friendly, attentive and always making sure our meal is right. If there’s a problem they fix it right away!!

Thanks for a memory

I chose this restaurant because that was my dads name, he passed away in June of this year. The food here is very good and plenty of it. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. Will definetly go there again when I travel thru little rock

CAUTION: restaurant moved to different location FYI. The new location look so nice and fresh- much better than old place. Eat nice chicken sandwich with toss salad and mixed fruit. Excellent food but didn’t like their brown paper cuz it start to tear up and could get in the food

Homer's never disappoints!

I have eaten here several times while I lived near Little Rock. I took my wife here on our recent trip. It didn't disappoint! The food is always good and didn't take long despite they were busy at lunch. Worth a visit!

Amazing food! Great Service! Excellent value and willingness to go the extra mile. They even sent my wife's jacket to us in Illinois after she left it there accidentally. Who does that?

i been going there for about one year yesterday cook needed to go back to school taco had so much grease rolling out on to plate , i unrolled the wrap gease every where there is noway i wouldnt eat it it was so bad , i set back it , it was gross . i will never go back there to eat again im done

Great fried chicken

Always a list of lunch specials of the day. The fried chicken was great- good veggies & jalapeño cornbread was really good. Great office lunch spot. Drinks to go if you get a good server.

Worth going a little out of the way for

I've eaten at this restaurant for over 40 years if that tells you anything. I don't think I've ever been there for lunch that it wasn't crowded. Good chance you might have to wait a minute or 2 to be seated.........but it's worth it every time

Still great for lunch

Veggie plate is great on WW. Feeling the veggies are canned but the yeast roll is the real deal. Always fast service & nice busser who always gets us drinks to go. Super busy at lunch & seat yourself.

Bad and out of everything

We ordered take out lunch for 4, none of all 4 lunches was all available, we picked from current menu and they did not have it, very poor quality and skimpy servings, our last trip to Homers, no one was happy with their lunch, we had 2 choices for dessert and they were out of that too, soooooo long Homers

Simple things could notch this place up!

(1) Warn diners when vegetables have SUGAR added. Who would have thought squash would be sweet? Be advised cornbread is ALSO SWEET, so tell diners you serve cornbread MUFFINS. (2) Don't use the cabbage ribs/core. While the seasoning was fine, it looked so unappetizing to have large chunks of vegetable with no color left in it - not a smidge of green. (3) WASH the walls. Ughh! Ledge along booth thick with dust and food splatters up the wall. Always friendly service but the kitchen will have to fix most of this. Call a cleaning service for the other.

Still good home cooking!

Tried for lunch & the salmon was good. Smothered cabbage and purple hull peas were great sides. Really good jalapeño cornbread. Very busy- it was raining men. Fast service but salmon takes a little longer. Love the bussers are always willing to give you a tea to go!
