Ate at Il Melograno recently with family. Nicely located on 10th Ave in Hells Kitchen, it's a family neighbourhood restaurant. Quite small so reservations are recommended. The service is friendly and good without making you feel rushed. Food is mostly Italian and well prepared. Good wine list that doesn't break the bank. I visit this area quite often and will... More

We chose this place because it was near the New World Stages, where we were seeing a show. It's a small, homey restaurant with an enthusiastic wait staff. The food was fine, nothing fancy but nothing objectionable. And the price was not outrageous. Given that there are many overpriced and bad restaurants in the Times Square area, this turned out... We ordered pasta and had it delivered to our hotel. We both had the parpadella with sausage. It was delivered quickly and was still quite warm. There was a little too much sauce on the homemade pasta. The noodle was good. It overall it was just OK.

Excellent authentic Italian restaurant a few steps away from the theatre district. Very nice Italian cuisine (how they can prepare all this to order in the mini kitchen beats me). The grilled octopus and the seared tuna appetizers are excellent. The black linguine with clams are to die for. Nice selection of Italian wines by the glass or bottles. Will... More

Whatever you choose will be delicious- you'll find authentic Italian food - not chicken parm. The fried octopus for appetizers-- perfectly done with a delicious dipping sauce. Our party of 4 had 2 pasta dishes - both immense -- one fish - fresh and one meat dish- really FILLING. Service is friendly but not intrusive - our go to neighborhood... More

Small Italian place. Spaghetti (homemade - $14) had a great texture but was drowning in sauce - and I usually go heavy on the sauce. Salmon with cauliflower puree was done to perfection ($22). The caesar salad was unremarkable. Complimentary bread cubes came with oil for dipping - the oil had tomato in it but was not very flavorful. The... More

We were greeted and seated quickly, offered water & the drinks menu and this was quickly followed with complimentary bread and flavoured oil for dipping. We chose a baby spinach salad which we shared...deliciously fresh..then each had a pasta dish, squid ink pasta with clams, and a crab pasta. Service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed this simple and very... More

One of the first restaurants to open on 10th Avenue in the burgeoning HK neighborhood a number of years ago - this place serves delicious homemade pastas with equally delectable sauces. The menu is limited though it changes to reflect what seasonal fresh selections are available from meat, fish and seafood. Over the years we have gone many times and... More

We went there for an early dinner.. We had bruschetta, two entrees from their Specials, one fish dish and one pasta dish, both lovely. To follow we had their tiramisu, absolutely delightful. We ended with cappuccinos. Very nice meal, friendly staff. Would go back.

We chose this restaurant based on reviews, and I have to say, the food was really great, the space is small, but they make the most of it, and the service was perfect. But, there was only one problem: no air-conditioning and one little fan in the place! It was stifling, and no one wants to sweat when they eat... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
