I had done research on diners before arriving to NYC and I'm glad I found and gave this place a shot. Loved the food, the people, it was a blast!

We had dinner in here and really enjoyed it. Full menu on offer all day, really flexible approach. Staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and really good value for money.

was there a few times= 2 times for breakfast and once with a group for brunch- service was good- I was not wild about the lox omellete. had the banana filled crepes and preferred that but they were cold maybe because of them being stuffed with banana and nutellla. had on the brunch menu a mimosa that was perfect with... We had dinner and brunch here recently while on a long weekend trip to the city. The person I was with used to live in the neighborhood and had scheduled to meet friends here. It is a simple family run neighborhood place. It's doesn't pretend to be upscale, but he food is wonderful. I had the braised short ribs for... More

My partner and I went to The Dish for a lazy breakfast, and it didn't disappoint. The venue is nice enough - its not the trendiest place you'll ever eat breakfast - but it is comfortable and clean. The service is quick and friendly enough. The menu has excellent variety and choice. As expected from a USA breakfast place, the... More

The Dish is a "upscale" diner style restaurant in Chelsea that's hidden among the stores & shops on 8th Avenue. If you blink you may pass it. With an extensive menu make sure you take sometime to browse thru the selection. You will be sure to find something you like. The food is not gourmet but its pretty good. You can... More

I’m so happy to see that amid a sea of gentrification The Dish is still going strong after all these years. Friendly staff and great good.

We walk a long distance to go to this restaurant for lunch but it is worth the walk. Steady staff and a variable lunch menu

I love a good local diner with a huge menu and breakfast any time you want... The dish is exactly that. It can be a no frills, quick meal kind of place. Or you can come with a big group of friends and hang out for a few hours. Good service, friendly clientele and good diner food.
