Some of the food is still pretty good, the ropa vieja comes in a bowl made up of tostones that taste like cardboard, the meat itself is very good, it also comes with black beans and rice, but not separate, but blended which is congri, not clear in the menu, and not so tasty, the beans tasted canned and slightly... Went here for the first time with a group of friends and it was good. U would pass it on the street if you didn't know it was there that's how small it looks from the outside, but inside has a larger area in the back to fit more people. I had the salmon which was good, but I wished... More

Our last Saturday in NYC we saw a musical on Broadway and took the #2 train to Christopher Street. This restaurant is a short walk from the subway stop. We had a reservation for two and they provided us with one of two window tables which we loved. The cocktails (mojito and tamarind margaritas) were superb. I especially liked the... More

For brunch: small portions, flavorless food, indifferent service, very noisy. This place must be popular based on the crowd that had assembled there for brunch. Yet, I can't figure out why. This is the most "average" restaurant I've been to for a long time - I was hoping for something more memorable based on Trip Advisor reviews.

I find this restaurant because I was walking on the village and my uncle and I want to stop for a drink and some food, that day they have a happy hour on mojitos, the place is really nice the walls are full with images of Cuba and Havana and some revolutionary icons. We ordered a Cuban sandwich and "vaca... More

This is a fantastic restaurant! An authentic experience with amazing food and excellent service. The Cuban cigars to go was a brilliant touch and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you!

Literally just left from having dinner here tonight and was very impressed with it. Family of 5 dined here and all loved theirs meals, from appetizers and drinks to dessert. I loved the tostones and the sauce served with them. I had the shrimp in garlic sauce with rice and beans..... Best meal I have had in NYC his week.... More

My friend, Raul, is responsible for this recommendation. My friends and I had a girls' day brunch on 10/23/2016. The food was pretty good. Nice small location with a garden. This place is busy. I ate three courses and opted to include the bottomless brunch for an extra $13.95. Please be aware- the drinks are very strong. The chicken noodle... More

Went on a Sunday and seated in the rear room which at first seemed a little quiet. However once the drinks and the food in the excellent set menu starting arriving the atmosphere picked up. Excellent quality to both the food and cocktails and the overall experience and value for money was 10 out of 10!

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
