I took my boyfriend to 2nd Ave Deli for his birthday. We can never resist the pastrami sandwiches when we are in the area and often dine here for special events. The food never disappoints. However, this particular time, the service stood out most of...More

What I expected a New York Deli to be. Outstanding sandwiches, great service, and extremely busy. Pastami and Corned beef were fabulous.

Lunch for two. Wait was relatively short as they keep the tables moving and the host entertains the line up. We ordered the hot brisket sandwich and half sandwich (corned beef) with soup. Both came with coleslaw and pickles. Everything was fresh and quick. The...More

The pastrami sandwich is the best pistrami I I’ve ever had. The bread and Cole slaw are also amazing. The meat melts in your mouth. If you like mustard they also have their own mustard that I would buy and use at home. Everything is...More

Yes -- both locations. The Kashrut certification is online and of course displayed in the store. I can't print a link on TA, but if you search on Google with the following words, you can see it: 2nd Avenue deli NYC kosher

Should trip adviser decide my answer is inappropriate, don't post it. It is my honest answer which is trying to help the questioner decide what choice to make. I am suggesting a viable alternative to be constructive.
