A fair number of the mussels had sand in them. The steak was tough, but unfortunately overcooking wasn't to blame. Even the accompanying arugula was undressed! I held out hope the chocolate soufflé would be good, but it was practically cold. Bottom line, the entire...More

I am so thankful to have this place nearby when visiting friends in Chelsea. Every morning I go down for a delicious latte and a bag of croissant, plain, almond, chocolate to bring back upstairs. Of course they do a lot more, from waffles to...More

I was excited to check out Petite Abeille and I ordered the Rigatoni Mushroom Bolognese ($20). Talk about underwhelming. The sauce and the pasta were not cooked together and it was certainly not handmade pasta. I could have made at home and for a Union...More

Eat here. From the not-too-sweet chocolate on the waffle to the fresh ingredients in all our dishes, everything we ate here was memorable. The inside is quaint, typically narrow of a mid-block hideaway. It has a small patio in the rear. The staff was attentive....More

I met a group here on a Sunday around 12:00pm. This was a good time to arrive (earlier is better too). We waited about 15-20 minutes for a table. You won't be seated until everyone arrives. It's a small cozy restaurant (common in NY) where...More

Seated promptly. Good food in reasonable portions. Tables a bit small for all the plates etc. The eggs in purgatory seemed like more cheese than egg, a bit much even though we like cheese.

We stopped in unexpected and found this to be just a marvelous breakfast option. The items all have a Belgian style from the eggs to the waffles and desserts. The coffee was just excellent. The staff were attentive and very polite.

Had lunch here with my brother who lives nearby. Great ambience, excellent service and DELICIOUS macaroni and cheese ( with ham)- puts most others TO SHAME! Highly recommend!

My daughter wanted to eat breakfast here for some time and yesterday we finally made it. A nice, quaint restaurant that serves delicious food. The menu is one page with daily specials written on a chalk board. Plenty of selections and variety. The servers were...More

Don't let the front diner-kitchen counter look and feel stop you from going into the rustic restaurant area. Good coffee, small but good breakfast menu and friendly service. Often relatively empty so a good alternative to the sometimes packed Union Square restaurants down the street.

Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set
amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron
District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd
Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building,
which makes a good picture no matter what angle you
photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant
architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this
neighborhood is part of a historic district that was
