On the recommendation of a friend who lives in the city and frequents this restaurant a LOT, we went there on a rainy Friday night. We had to wait abut 20 minutes because there aren't a lot of tables and it is clearly popular with the locals, but we were seated as quickly as a table opened up. I had... More

I ate a Ramen after a Central Park Bike tour. The restaurant is close to the bike shop, just next door. Service is quick and friendly. I just missed a hot towel, normally provided in japanese restaurant. The Ramen was hot, spicy and I got a big portion.

Staff were very friendly but for me my ramen was just ok. Big portion though. My wife liked hers. The fried chicken was delicious and the giozas were fantastic. The best we tasted so far.

I came here for supper with my husband and toddler. They were very accommodating with our pram and seating our son as it's not the biggest place. The service was very good, the food came quickly and it was tasty. We had the ramen and katsudon which were delicious. We also ordered the slightly pickled cucumber which wasn't a very... More

I love ramen. so walking into this small, traditional looking Japanese restaurant in New York for my favourite food is especially comforting. Ramen - affordable (everything in NY is expensive), this comes with big bowl of noodles and value for money. The Char Siu is tough to bite and chew though. Had hot sake to warm the body during the... My wife and I tried the ramen as well as the gyoza. Taste wise is okay I felt the soup (Miso Ramen) a bit salty. At the price they offered, I believe they are quite value-for-money place for a meal. Service is great as well.

It's my favorite ramen place in NY that I always visit when I'm in NY. This time, I got the ma-bo ramen, which turned out to be a bowl of spicy deliciousness. If you're really hungry, you can order a extra serving of noodles to really fill you up.

In the summer, I suggest the jar jar men. In the winter, I go for the kaki furai, dumplings, and one of the hot ramen soups. The service is usually good and the food comes out quickly.

It's easy to miss this restaurant as its not fancy. The food is reasonably priced and very good value. Lots of ramen to chose from as well as don dishes which includes a piping hot bowl of soup. We shared plates of pork and vegetable dumplings as a starter and then individual dishes of ramen, rice and sushi.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
