We had a lovely dinner here. A beautiful Art Deco restaurant in Rockefeller Center; you can almost imagine F. Scott Fitzgerald having dinner with his publisher here. It was very quiet here on a Friday night, but it is probably much busier with business lunches on weekday with all the nearby offices. I had the restaurant week menu. The portions... More

Called in for lunch on our final day in New York with no reservation. We were shown to a table quickly and given menus. The food was excellent, Dover Sole off the bone, beautifully cooked and well presented. Service was very professional and prompt. We arrived at about 12.39 but the place filled up quickly. I would advise making a... More

I had a business lunch with two colleagues at Brasserie Ruhlmann yesterday. I thought we had a reservation (turns out that we didn't), but the hostess at the entrance quickly got us seated. The menu is varied, though with a number of seafood and beef dishes. I had the crab cakes to start, which were unlike any other crab cakes... More

I never write reviews, but the Dover Sole I had at Brasserie Ruhlmann was so superior that I had to make the effort.

Impeccable service with good food. The steak tartar is amazing anf perpared finely. Servers offered to mix ingredients. The salad was prepared fresh with traditional french dijon dressing. The rainbow roll was good. Beautiful space, ambience and service.

I go there probably twice a month. Service is great, food is great, and I just love the apple tart as a dessert. Only annoying thing sometimes: the level of noise in the restaurant and the proximity between tables.

Location, location! That is what they say is most important. Well this place meets that requirement. I was touring the Rockefeller Center area with my family during the Christmas holidays. Last year we had a very nice lunch here, therefore, my party of nine decided to return here again for lunch a little after 12 noon without a reservation on... More

I thought a restaurant in the midst of Rockefeller Plaza would be too touristy but what a great experience. The cocktails so tasty, the service impeccable and everyone tasted my mashed potatoes! The menu offered something for all of us and the specials of the day, they made my husband happy because it was fresh and healthy. Overall, it was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
