Very unassuming from the outside, a decent space opens up inside. Make a reservation. We were seated on time, at the counter. At reservation we were told we would have the seats for 2 hours. Pretty large menu. So we went for the Omakase. They will give you options on the price and your food preferences are taken down. The... More

I went for a business lunch to this place and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was friendly and fast and the food delicious. I had the ramen noodles and they were great. The only down side was that it was a bit loud. Otherwise, I enjoyed my experience and recommend this place.

Visited Aburiya few years ago and so glad that we went back tonight for dinner. It was snowing lightly and it was cold. Entering a warm and familiar restaurant was very comforting. Service as usual was excellent. Met Hiro-san, the manager. Food ranged from sashimi to sukiyaki for winter and many more delicious treats. Sake list was very extensive and... More

As long as you know what you are coming for, they do a great job. Lots of food at lunch, not cheap, but good quality.

We are familiar with sushi but not real Japanese food.. This was a really good introduction for us, not cheap but a great experience nonetheless.. On reflection, maybe, we should have gone with the selection for three rather than individual menu items but we did like our selections chosen with the excellent waiter.. Sake selection overwhelming, selected house one was... More

We've been here twice and haven't been disappointed- although the second time our server was a bit pushy for ordering the priciest items. We ordered a bunch of items most notably- - warm tofu - Tsukune - Miso Cod - Wagyu - although not everyone likes super fatty meat- so if you're not into soft, tender, fatty beef, this is... More

Small Japanese restaurant tucked away on 45 street close to 3rd avenue. Your best bet of getting a table is by making a reservation. The service is quick and the food always delicious. I recommend the green tea ice cream for dessert.

Huge menu with seasonal specials. Wide variety of sake to choose from too. We had the 5 variety sashimi which was awesome. Service was attentive and had a good atmosphere.

Excellent grilled black cod fish, great staff, good to go solo or with friends. No sushi, although they do serve sashimi

Whenever I go to New York, I never fail to visit Aburiya Kinnosuke for a meal. You must make a reservation otherwise you will not be able to get a table. And they allow guests to have meals with a maximum of 2 hours so that they can allow others to have a meal at this restaurant. They have so... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
