We arrived without reservations on a Sunday afternoon around 4:45pm. Due to limited seating, much later and you might consider calling ahead. The food was fantastic! Everything we ordered was great- they even accommodated some special requests! The service was very good, as was the beer and wine. Not a huge collection, but what they had went well with the... It was an extraordinarily warm day in November when I last visited Las Ramblas, so, uncharacteristically, there was a table available outside. This isn't usually the case because this restaurant is so wonderful that it is always busy! My husband and I have dined at Las Ramblas many times over the years. We visit NYC from Buffalo quite often and... More

Great place in the west village -- very good but not quite like being in Barcelona. Everything is authentic with strong Spanish flavor. Be sure to try their best rioja or ribera del duero. Small and not well marked, but look carefully for the darkened storefront with customers with sangria flowing out into the sidewalk.

I love tapas so I am always willing to try a new place. Had a nice time at Las Ramblas. Food was reasonably priced, but at $11 a glass, you can get better tasting sangria for less. The place is really small and very loud, but the service is good and the staff are very friendly. I recommend the albondigas... More

Popped in for a quick bite at lunchtime. Although small, this is a great tapas bar. We had a variety of tapas plates...each one delicious. The pomegranate sangria was really delicious too. Highly recommend Las Ramblas!

Really enjoyed having dinner here on our trip to NY. Great food, vibe and service. It was however VERY cramped. We had a table right against the brick wall and we surround by 3 other tables. We could barely move... however, patrons started to clear towards the middle of our meal and we had some more room. We ordered: Pintxos... More

Las Ramblas is a small (really small) tapas restaurant, but the quality of the plates more than make up for the size. It has the usual tapas fare like shrimp in a garlic and white wine sauce, pulpo or grilled octopus, Tortilla Espanola, croquettes, etc. but it also has some great seasonal specials. Mini pumpkins filled with Tetilla cheese cream... More

Yes, Las Ramblas is like a large walk-in closet, so best if you arrive early. We had no problem getting a stool at 6:00 PM around one of those high, round bar-style tables for two-maybe three people. The staff (two friendly people) is great and so is the food. Wines are good and affordable.

Authentic Tapas Greenwich Village's bustling West Fourth Street is home to our authentic tapas bar, Las Ramblas, named after the famous pedestrian street in Barcelona, Spain. Located at 170 Fourth Street between Jones and Comelia Streets, near Sixth Avenue in Manhattan. Compact and inviting with carefully restored brick walls, burnished modern copper-topped bar, and wall-mounted indoor waterfall running over recessed slate, Las Ramblas is a haven for tapas aficionados. When weather permits, the restaurant's bank of front windows will slide open to the street for outdoor dining. New CDs from Spain set a festive musical tone at Las Ramblas and includes groups Dusminguet, Amparanoia, Ojos de Brujo and Estopa.

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
