This tucked away restaurant in Greenwich village is quite simply outstanding. It is more locals than tourists so I recommend booking a table. It is tiny and quite rustic with attentive staff. The meatball sliders are amazing and the seafood is very tasty. Good value for money and a good menu choice.

I found this place on trip advisor and thought I would give it a go and it certainly didn't disappoint. It only has about 30 covers which makes it a intimate dining experience. The food is first class and the choice of drinks is pretty good, prices aren't bad but its not cheap, but value for money. If you want... More

We ended our Theatre Weekend with brunch at the Little Owl. I was looking for some variety in my restaurants from our normal spots and wanted to get out of the Theatre District. I found this restaurant on the site WitchesWhoBrunch (just change the W to a B) and was intrigued about the way it was described. Definitely a tiny/cozy... More

Been to Little Owl many times, one of my go-to NY hangouts. One of the best burgers I have ever tasted but the food selections are good all round. Wine list is limited in size (befitting a small restaurant) but excellent - don't overlook the 'house brand' wines, they are very good too. Crowded and fully-booked when we were there... More

Affordable NYC brunch in a charming small restaurant. Lovely end to a girls NYC trip. The poached eggs and hash browns with leeks were yummy and kept us full all day. The pink lemonade prosseco brunch cocktail was perfect, not too sweet!

Walk the highline and the meat packers district and then have lunch at The Little Owl, followed by a wander around the village. On a dry day there's nothing better.

My husband and I ate a late dinner at The Little Owl after an Off Broadway show last week. The space is small and cozy with approximately 35-40 seats including the bar. We walked in without a reservation about 9:30 and had a 10 minute wait before a table was cleared. The menu is not large but there is a... More

The neighbourhood around The little owl is worth visiting on its own but the Little Owl makes it absolutely necessary. We booked about 3/4 weeks in advance and could only get an early slot but it worked out perfectly. The staff were very welcoming when we got there, the menu was very varied and reasonably priced and perhaps best of... More

We travel to New York frequently and I have been excited about trying this restaurant. It was not easy to get reservations but well worth the wait. There were five of us at what was the largest table in this tiny gem. No one was disappointed. We enjoyed excellent appetizers, awesome entrees and delicious desserts. The wine list was amazing.... Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
