Beautiful food, lovely ambience, staff proud of what they've created. Really enjoyed this crowded little restaurant. We were on our honeymoon so the staff went above and beyond to make it a special night. The portions aren't big but very tasty and healthy. Set in a cool part of town (my first time to NYC) about a 5-10 minute walk from... More

After a day of touring New York, strolling through (west) village and stopping for dinner at the Little Owl was just perfection. My husband had (luckily) booked this little restaurant, as it was packed even on a regular Tuesday evening. The food was very nice and reasonably priced given the New York prices. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere... More

Nice meal with family. Pretty decent selection on the menu and it's a cozy little west village spot for some brunch.

The Little Owl is a really cute place with excellent food. It is very small, so I highly recommend making a reservation as soon as you know you want to go. The food was excellent and filling, and the cocktails were good. We had the meatball sliders to start. They were so good, that we ordered a second round. The... More

Perfect venue for celebrating special events with close friends and extended family. Lamp chops very tasty along with lobster on chips, tuna on endives, mini meat ball sandwiches.

Came here on recommendation of friends and on positive reviews on Trip Advisor. An intimate restaurant ( read small and crowded) in the Village. Reservations a must. Started off with the meatball sliders. Moist and full of flavor. The wife had the cavatelli with pesto. Okay, nothing special. Had the pork chop, suppose to be one of their specialties. Okay.... What can be said about such a cute place, managed by a lovely, Italian speaking lady, who makes you feel the most welcome of the guests, where the food is good, some plates more than others, where the atmosphere is cosy, and the sliders are simply magnificent? Only one thing..., this is my place whenever I am back in NY.

Had brunch here before catching a show at the Lortel theater up the block. You must try the beignets with raspberry sauce and Nutella. Delicious. Everything we had was good including the pancakes, French toast, eggs Benedict and enchilada special. The place is very tight and gets a bit noisy but the service is efficient and friendly. Good place for... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
