We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on 52nd so I searched for something nearby in the idine program since the weather forecast was nasty on our last day. I found this place which was less than 2 blocks away plus the HGI provided umbrellas for its guests so that made the walk dry as well! We arrived to... More

Visited here for breakfast during our stay in New York. Located away from the main tourist area, it is a small local cafe offering a wide choice of menu at very reasonable prices. We had the eggs bacon and potatoes and Greek yoghurt and fruit both of which were excellent. This is very much a local cafe so service is... More

Have had several breakfasts at the small restaurant. Quick and efficient service although the visitor will be unlikely to have a conversation with staff because they typify the American city dwellers who eschew casual talk with strangers. Nevertheless an interesting and pleasant experience for visitors to the US.

You can't go too far wrong eating where the local's choose to eat. The Morningstar is a classic - booths line the walls and pics of the owner with celebs including ex-presidents line the walls. The food is fantastic and affordable. We ate breakfast two days in a row there and seemed to be the only tourists in the place... More

Let's get straight into it......this place is golden! Only a couple of blocks from the hotel so ideal especially because of the weather while we're in NY. This is an authentic NY diner/cafe with an extensive menu to suit all tastes, always busy but always seemed to get seated straight away whether at a table or up on the bar.... More

Now I know the reason so many of the diners around us had a Starbucks cup on their table. The food, however, was fine and nothing beats a NYC diner in the morning, right?

This is a great place to eat. We came here everyday for breakfast and were given an endless top up of coffee and big tasty meals to keep us going until dinner time. Good value for money and a nice atmosphere

Classic American diner that seems to be quite popular with locals (always a good sign). Good if you're in the area and are looking for a (relatively) cheap bite.

Thank Niko T

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
