Came here upon the recommendation of a local friend. I was staying at the Sofitel which was a hop, skip, and a jump away from the restaurant. We came for a light lunch and were warmly greeted and seated. The grilled calamari was to die for. The char and flavor was perfection. We shared the shrimp salad which was flavorful and... More

I really wanted a typical Greek salad and their salad is different...good...but no lettuce. We also had the octopus appetizer and it was very good as well as the Brazini whole fish. The bread and olive oil was very good...great oil. The service was good....the restaurant was a bit noisy but full of vibes. We did not have reservation...kind 'a... More

I ate here on my first night in the city. I made reservations based on Trip advisor reviews. The atmosphere was very quaint and pretty, decorated for the holidays. Food was delicious and the staff excellent. I would eat here again and I highly recommend this restaurant. The only downfall was our table was cramped in by the bar even though... More

Great restaurant with outstanding service and excellent menu. Our experience was tarnished by having been seated by the bar despite having had reservations for several weeks. It was a special occasion for us only to be appalled by debris falling from construction on our table and food. The Maitre de reseated is after a 15 minute wait, but we were... More

Pre-Christmas evening drinks at the bar with friends. Cocktails no sooner ordered than done. Efficient and delicious. Ordered tapas; also delicious especially the lamb riblets and the dips with pita bread. A good way to spend an evening. The next day my partner and I had lunch there. Prix fixed menu. Mistake. My chicken main meal was rather dry and... More

Ate here with another couple while we were visiting NYC for the holiday season. Food was very good but overpriced even for New York city. Friendly service and nice decor. I had the chicken dinner and a salad. $35.00 was a bit pricey for my taste.

The venue is terrific, very enjoyable interior. Looked like a great bar, but went straight to our table. Selection was a wide range of main course food types, seafood with fresh caught fish and salmon, veal chops, vegetarian and chicken. Appetizers were filling with hummus refilled. Would definately return to try other menu options. The service was still slow and... More

I made a reservation at Kellari because it was near the Algonquin Hotel where we were staying. The combination of Greek and seafood sounded intriguing, but we were up for adventure. The beautiful lighting and ambience captivated us immediately. And the food was amazing! Wonderful Greek red wine, octopus appetizer and picked our own fish from the case that had... More

It took 30 minutes for appetizers to arrive and one hour forty minutes for the entrée. They don't have a wide selection of entrees and ran out of at least one...the tuna. When the entrée arrived (I had Lavraki) it was smallish and filled with bones. The waiter never filled our wine glasses. And to top it off, there are... More

Short and to the point- service; flawless. Food; excellent, unique. Tried a few dishes I had never had before nor had ever thought to try and my girlfriend and I were both immensely impressed by our selections. Could not recommend it highly enough and would absolutely come back again and again. If you are looking for a fully gratifying dinning... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
