This place was highly recommended by an Austrian friend of mine. Glad I went there. The food was great, the Austrian beer tasted great and the waitress spoke Austrian and was so friendly.

I loved to go there every Friday for a Wiener Schnitzel or Cordon Bleu, reminding me of home. Really nice place, also good beer! If you like Austrian/German food, go there!

Called 20' before arrival, very friendly and helpful staff. Great, relaxed place with great austrian food and beer and wine. For NYC there is huge space between the tables, service is not pushy at all and noise level is good. Great place, will be back!

Great menu takes one back to Vienna. The Wienerschnitzel is fabulous. Justin took very good care of us. Highly recommend.

I was stationed in Germany for 3 years a long time ago and this food at Blaue Gans in Tribeca was the best German food I think I've ever had. I ordered jaegerschnitzel and a hefeweizen then polished it off with an apfelstrudel. Service was...More

We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Blaue Gans. It is certainly modest in scope and attitude but delivers excellent "traditional" German food at reasonable prices. They offer a great selection of German/Austrian wines and good beer on draft. We sat at the bar for...More

Had a reservation through open table. Showed up to a restaurant that was 1/3 full which was a very bad sign as every restaurant around it in the neighborhood was packed full! I should have known then. After we we're seated, the hostess came over...More
