We found this spot by a quick phone search and are very pleased with the stop. The staff is very friendly and the decor is refreshingly different. It is a place that is nice to sit and spend time. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. Very much worth a stop if you are passing by.

Read about Freeman's on social media, and went for a walk to find the alley. It is really a unique hidden gem. Great black bean veggie burger, and also roast beef sandwich. Great atmosphere !

The locals are not going to like me telling the world about this place, not easy to find at all, and the place is always super busy, try the spicy cod

Saturday brunch consisted of eggs, bacon, smoked fish, steak sandwich and cookies and ice cream and more in a very cozy setting. A nice discovery.

This place is hidden in an ally. It looks really cute on the outside. Inside is bigger than expected, a cosey vibe (maybe a little British). The service is great and the food delicious. I had an egg white omelet (really tasty) and my boyfriend ordered egg with potatoes and sausage (also tasty and a lot for breakfast). You should... More

I found this place completely by accident when photographing NY street art, I wandered down an alley following the art and spotted some fairy lights round a door at the end of the alley and I felt like Alice in Wanderland as I opened the door. The place was packed and buzzing with Sunday brunchers, irresistible! I sat at one... More

Had brunch here on 3.12 and dined with 3 others. This place was so cute! It is down a little alley, which can be off-putting, but it's worth straying "off the beaten path" for. Once you're inside, it's hard to think you're not out in the country. The food did not disappoint. I loved the menu - it was straight... More

Went here for dinner on our first night in NYC. Parts of the building are quite old by New York standards and the extensions have been decorated to blend in to the theme. Quite dark inside (which is clearly the trend in NY bars/ restaurant we visited). Service was quick and friendly. We had devils on horseback and cheddar toasts... More

Came here for brunch with my girlfriend and sister on a Sunday. Really great service and drinks. We ordered the artichoke dip as appetizers and a variety of entrees. It is in a small little alley with cute artwork. Ambiance in the restaurant is really cute and made the experience a lot more enjoyable than expected.
