We had dinner at Nobu 57 to celebrate my birthday and had a truly wonderful night. The menu is a bit of a minefield unless you know a lot about Japanese food, but the waiter was amazing and took lots of time to help us choose dishes and to recommend different things. The food when it came was beautifully presented... More

What a lively and fun place to enjoy a sushi feast. We had an over the top experience with outstanding fresh selection of high quality sushi presented beautifully. Everything came out perfect with attentive wait staff. By far one of our very favorite dining experiences.

A very stylish place! I did not give the full rating because of two things which did it make unpossible to do so. The noise because of the amount of people and the extrem prices. Sushi was delicious and very good

We visited Nobu 57 after a concert at Carnegie Hall so it was late - reservation for 10.30pm. We chose the most expensive chefs omakase menu which isn't easy on the wallet but it was fantastic. I'm not sure how many courses came in the end but it was a food adventure and I love being surprised with what dish... More

Like all other Nobu's - the food never disappoints but there are better japanese restaurants in NYC. Nobu has become more of a business meal location and I have had many a business lunch and always come back extremely satisfied but have never found it exciting enough for a dinner date.

Went Here For a Date & The Food & Service Was Impeccable. The Wait For a Table Was Going To Be Far Too Long, So We Opted To Sit @ The Sushi Bar. We Started With Sake (of Course) & Then Had The Waiter Bring Us Surprise Options of Sushi. We Had About 5 Different Dishes Brought To Us, Each... More

The service is great, menu has many delicious choices. Food is awesome The portions are really small almost laughable. The food is way overpriced. Impossible to have a conversation as it is very noisy.

Description
The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
