Had a lovely dinner there. I'm a gin drinker, and it's always hard to get good cocktails based on gin. They had a fab one, "Root of all Evil"; a nice bonus to the meal! Great appetizers, tasty main courses. Dessert was a little underwhelming, but I probably shouldn't have had any after the rest of our dinner LOL. The... More

We hadn't been by here in quite a few years, I seem to remember it being smaller but no matter it's still a good restaurant. The menu has enough choices, most people will find something to their liking. The service is very good, the staff very helpful. We sat by the front door and it was windy and rainy. It... More

Not to be missed for breakfast or brunch, the Cookshop in South Chelsea proposes a wide selection of egg entrees, and the fluffiest pancakes I have ever tasted. The dining room is full of light, yet a little bit crammed. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a pricey place like everything else at this level in NYC, but... More

Cookshop is always packed on the weekend and it's no wonder why. Great food, atmosphere, and large space. I suggest you make reservations as it can get insanely packed on the weekends. This time I had the cheddar scone which was massive and delicious. I also had the huevos ranchero, which came in a skillet and was pretty good. Their... More

The service was great and the atmosphere was good however there were only 3 vegetarian main meal options and unfortunately non of them appealed... the menu online did not match the one they had in store so I didn't not have the veggie lasagna I was looking forward to be a creamy ravioli which was nice but not amazing. Overall... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this selection ! Thought it was a bit pricey for NJ tastes ($22 for a luncheon entree), but it was beautifully presented, a generous portion, & absolutely delicious. I am a "Foodie", so to satisfy me is not that easy! The service was very professional & courteous. We didn't eat outside because the place was crowded & noisy.... More

We found this place on the top places to eat on Google - and we were impressed. In a great area of Chelsea, the menu was great and varied and reasonable. Highly recommend. The buttermilk biscuit (scone) was delicious ! Shame we were staying in Times Square as would have visited more often - but we shall return here for... More

I'll give a brief review here. If you want a full in depth review with pictures visit my blog at bradysbrunch.com or check out my Instagram @bradysbrunch. Brunch here is really good. Cookshop values the importance of quality and gets a lot of their produce locally which means their menu is constantly changing with the seasons. Waiters were really nice... More

We had lunch at the Cookshop and really enjoyed their lunch bowl, which included kale, farro, plus other greens and grains, with yummy toppings. I think the contents of the lunch bowl changes often. Others at our table had the fish tacos and a burger--all very good. We also tried the spicy Bloody Marys, which were as advertised, with a... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
