Food was good however table for 2 was quite small so we had a bit of trouble with all the dishes but worth a visit

The food was not bad. But the service was so rude that it ruined our entire meal. Also, this is the only Indian restaurant I have ever left still feeling hungry. Overpriced for small portions. I would not go back.

Food we ordered was OK. All food items had same taste and smell. Except Vada-pav here was better than expected. Even Chicken Biryani and Mango Lassi was good. And staff was rude.

We were extremely disappointed with the quality of service. On arrival, we ordered a bottle of wine, assuming that a bottle would arrive with 2 glasses. Instead 2 glasses were poured, with no bottle. When we asked for the bottle the manageress said that there...More

This might be a gastro-pub if the food were European. Heavy emphasis on available unusual cocktails. Good selection of Indian food. Tends to be busy in the evening. From our perspective as mature diners, it suffers from the availability in Chelsea of so many good...More

I have eaten there twice now and will go back any time. The food is gorgeous, if you like it spicy, but if not they can find you a lot to eat too. Service is excellent and quiet. Menu is not your usual, but you...More

This was a spur of the moment visit, the place was heaving but service was great - attentive and knowledgeable. Loved the dosa starters and the Bollywood themed cocktails.

Great contemporary Indian food and imaginative cocktail menu. Large portions so starters can be shared. Friendly service. We visited on a quiet night so atmosphere was subdued.

Description
Bombay Talkie, Chelsea's untra hip take on Indian "street food", continues to wow diners and critics. Created and owned by Sunitha Ramaiah, the bistro melds the two worlds dearest to her: Her childhood in Southern India and her adult life in Manhattan. Bombay Talkie contemporizes the regional cuisines of the tiny road side cafes (or Tea Houses) that dot the Indian sub continent.
