We grabbed lunch at the Park Cafe, across the street from our hotel. The food was about what you would get in a cafeteria. The hamburger I ordered was a frozen patty like the kind you get in a large package at a big box store. Other food was very plain and not worth the price.

Nothing special. Just average food which is a little over-priced because of it's location. Sits attached to the Wellington Hotel, which gets the majority of it's diners from its guests who presumably are too lazy to find somewhere better and cheaper.

Reasonably priced is specific to NYC! But the service was fast and the food was good. Typical breakfast selections. Located in a great spot for sight seeing after. Casual and relaxed.

Loved this diner/cafe. Went there around 11pm thnkng it would soon close. The staff said nomand that we should take our time. I ordered a pizza burger. It came with fries and a salad. The burgers are mad there and it was so delicious I was very tempted toorde a second one. I'll go back next time I'm in New... More

Stopped at the Park Cafe for breakfast. It was an older style coffee shop, very noisy but still nice. My wife and I both had western omelettes which were good. My wife had a toasted bagel which came to the table cold and was quickly replaced with a warm one. Overall it was a decent experience.

So the decor is a bit shabby but the service and food lovely. Always looks busy which means they're doing something right. We went for breakfast one morning and for coffee another day. I didn't like that the waiter wrote "15%" on the "service charge not included" marker on the receipt on the first visit. Not objecting to the tip... More

We were disappointed with this place, after a week in NY I'd say this was at the bottom of our list. Very expensive for poor quality food and not very clean and tidy. I found the waitress very aggressive in her manner regarding her tip at the end, which makes you feel uncomfortable. Would not recommend it. It was busy... More

We went to eat evening meal here a couple of times. Good choice menu friendly polite and good service, it's not posh it's not cheap but it's also not bad considering you're in New York.

Don't cook/can't cook and want a cheap and homely American fry up for breakfast brunch or lunch , then you've found the right spot in midtown Manhattan. Always popular in here- I reckon you can easily consume the day's calorie allowance for under $10...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
