I don't like to sit at communal tables so have to wait for a table for 2 when I come for breakfast. There is no privacy and you can't really have a conversation. Coffee isn't so great which always surprises me. They don't serve omelttes so I eat a fritatta which is normally overcooked. But it's pretty and the staff... More

If you are fastidious about quality and health this is the best place to have a good sit down sandwich lunch. They serve them as open sandwiches (called Tartines) served ib a flat wooden tray. I ordered ham and cheese and got it with three different versions of mustard. Loved it.

We stopped here on a recent visit to New York. We thought we would grab something quick to eat during a busy day. I have to say that we went back again to eat here, because the sandwiches and lemonade we ordered we delicious. For desert we shared a lemon tart that was "to die for". I will visit again... More

Everybody's in a hurry, too busy to meet and greet customers and explain the local modus operandai . First time customer is lost and nobody much cares. Hostess made no effort to welcome us to a table or give us a menu. Recommended tartine disappointingly tasteless. Calm down, everybody. Dessert Pastries were good.

We went for brunch after 12pm mass and this Pain is very perfectly situated steps from St. Vincent Ferrer Church...love the new, larger venue!!!!! Bright and sunny and cheerful. Comfortable seating. I love my oatmeal from this chain, my mom loved her avocado toast, and my friend enjoyed his salad special very much (warm chicken I believe it was). Tea... More

Most of the restaurants in the area on Sunday for Brunch require reservations. How lucky we were to be just walking by and were able to be seated immediately. Everything is organic and delicious. be sure to ask with your meal to try some of their spreads on their tasty bread. I tried the salmon with mozzarella and was so... More

The food is always excellent, with a good, healthy choice. However, at this location, the service is very haphazard and I objected to tea being served in a very cracked teapot....a health hazard.

I have have been to a number of places in this chain but this "newly opened spot in the Touraine does not meet any type of expectations. Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
