Needed to stop shopping on Black Friday so we went to Le Pain Quotidian on 3rd Avenue and ordered a Cobb Salad and a Croque Monsieur, both delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended for a quick light lunch ;when you are in a hurry shopping nearby.

For 3 days this was our place for breakfast. Food had a french feel but enough on offer to satisfy us Brits. The first 2 visit were great. The same waitress looked after us each time and was personable and reliable. However on the 3rd visit she was missing had was served by a cocky young man who did not... More

After walking for several hours in the cold, my sister and I decided to try Le Pain Quotidien. I had a wonderful coffee and she had the Belgium hot chocolate. The atmosphere was great and the service was good.

If Buddy the elf found the world's best coffee, then we found the world's best cookies here. Huge thin choc chip were scrumptious. The thicker cookie was phenom, with a crusty outer and chewy moist inner. Never had better, sorry mom.

Ate here on Saturday morning while walking through Central Park with some friends. We pleasantly surprised by this place, in the city of the worlds biggest portions of overly processed food, it was refreshing to see some perfectly balanced nutritious food. Considering the location is right in the middle of Central Park, it was nice to see them not jacking... More

This is one of my favorite places to meet for coffee, breakfast or even lunch, Its always cosy (apart from the Battery Park location which can have the AC too cool) Servers are 90% of the time on the ball - sometimes they may miss something but always happy and eager to rectify.

I know in the US that a cup of tea is a foreign request, but the weakness of the teabags and fattyness of the milk makes the whole thing disgusting ! Luckily I went for a coffee - it was my partner who endured the "tea"

Food was good but the service was terrible. It took like 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. I ordered a Greek yoghurt and had to wait 20 minutes for it. Other parts of the order came quite fast to the table. Had to wait another 15 minutes to get the check. Can't recommend a place with service... More

Love the menu. Nice and balanced portions. Salads and soup are wonderful. Love the community table seating. Service is excellent even during the busiest of lunch hours. My main lunch place when visiting New York for work.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
