Came here with a group following a show. We had a reservation for 20 people made several weeks in advance. Our party showed up on time and the staff was totally unprepared for us. The place was packed and very noisy. The staff worked hard...More

We were there for an art event called "Dr. Sketchy" where we sketched a model in vintage clothing. The bar was open and there was a good selection of beer, wine, champagne, and signature drinks available. The atmosphere is very classy and fun and the...More

We dropped in to Flute between a Broadway show and a concert at Carnegie Hall. There is a nice selection of champagnes, most of which I didn't know as many are not in the "mainstream" of champagnes in the US. We loved that there was...More

Always wonderful to return to a place and it is still meeting my standards. I love this place. Happy Hour offers buy one get one free from 5 to 8 pm. While the prices for champagne are always high, on Tuesdays, this is the best...More

The drinks are great and the atmosphere is super sexy. Get the Champagne sampler and then move to a crafted cocktail and appetizers!

The bar was empty, so that helped! Had the whole place to ourselves! Champagne was awesome and I recommend doing the tasting ones. It's a bit pricey when you add on the food plates (we had the cheese & meats one) but it was enough...More

Popped in after a night at the theatre, only one or two other couples present and the bartender was extremely friendly and happy. He gave some great recommendations for beers and champagne for the other half and gave service with a smile. Prices were good,...More

We came here before at the beginning of the year and made sure we incorporated it into a Birthday weekend in the city as it is both quiet and romantic. We tried two of the champagne flights so that we could sample several different champagnes,...More

I had a birthday party here on a Thursday evening with 7 of us and it was a decent spot, especially for the neighborhood. I called ahead to make sure the happy hour prices would be available to our group. We all liked the strong...More

Description
Down a short flight of stairs from the sidewalk, but worlds away from the bustle of Midtown Manhattan, Flûte Midtown operates in a space that was once a speakeasy run by the notorious Texas Guinan. Texas Guinan was infamous for her brazen disregard of Prohibition, her army of scantily clad showgirls, her witty catch-phrases and her string of New York nightclubs where writers, socialites and shady types rubbed elbows. Flûte Midtown’s speakeasy history is preserved in its subtle lighting, cocktail menu and honeycomb of intimate booths, and it continues the tradition of providing a haven to the chic, the literary, the night owls and those in-the-know. On the last Saturday of every month, Club Wit’s End brings the Jazz Age roaring back with live hot jazz and period apparel.
