My husband and I and another couple went here for drinks before dinner and the theater. It was where the locals go after work. It reminded me of Cheers. Our waitress was so friendly and fun. We actually went back the next night for drinks too. They make a great Cosmopolitan!

Right around corner from Intercontinental. Rustic setting with a New York bar feel. Quick, basic, good, and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.

We were looking for a new restaurant to try when we happened upon Smith"s Hell Kitchen Bar & Restaurant located on the corner of 8th and 44th across the street from the Intercontinental Hotel where we were staying. We were seated in a booth which is a step up "raised" from the bar floor with a direct view of 8th... More

Went to Smiths for breakfast as it was just round the corner from the Intercontinental, where we were staying. Good clean restaurant and good friendly service. The food was very good and plentiful, you would not go hungry with a breakfast from here. There was a wide choice on the menu from bacon and eggs to New York style pancakes,... More

Lovely ambiance, great food. But everything is a bit dry to my taste. Especially for a non-drinker..

We had dinner at Smith's Bar and Restaurant before we went to Majestic Theatre for a show. The burger and sweet potato fries that I ordered were simply amazing. One of the best burgers that I've ever tasted. The staff were also really friendly and they worked fast. It's also right next to the Majestic Theatre, which makes it an... More

Apparently, this was a steakhouse frequented by the late, great John Lennon. We ate here twice, and enjoyed superb thick steaks with cheap pints of Bud. Fast, friendly service, this place is convenient for theatre goers, and a 10 minute walk from Times Square.

We have dinner here after a 10 hour flight so we were really tired and hungry. Service was fast and the girl serving us was friendly and explained the tipping thing. Portions Resort huge and really good. I'd raccomend the BLT sandwich!!!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
