Wife, friend, daughter and 1 year old grandson had lunch. This is a fun place and busy even at 1:30 pm. We were seated and provided with a highchair for our grandson. We shared gazpacho, fried oysters, fried scallops, 6 fresh oysters, and cuttlefish washed...More

This restaurant situated in Grand Central terminal New York City is a hive of activity. The food is fresh and plentiful. One can choose live lobster from the fish tank or a variety of fresh fish on the daily menu. Our waiter John was genuinely...More

It is named the Oyster Bar, so it is not shocking that the non-seafood choices are limited. That said, they are good, and the seafood choices are remarkable. The oysters are apparently quite good (I do not eat them) and the variety is exceptional. Obviously...More

Went with family. Waited 15 minutes for the appearance of a waiter after having been seated. Got up to seek that the host fix the problem, it was beyond his abilities. Walked back to my table to find a waiter who was visibly irritated that...More

Not entirely true the oysters are fine and there's a good choice of varieties. Five of us were planning to eat dinner. The setting is great, historical and very noisy. Grand Central Station itself is definitely worth a visit. The fresh lobster was pretty tasteless,...More

The service was prompt with good array of seafood. The ambiance was that of a by gone era at the Grand Central Station. Recommend the saloon section for better atmosphere. It is worth a visit if you are to already going to the GCS.

I'd seen this restaurant on TV and had always wanted to visit.... it didn't disappoint! Helpful staff, amazing vaulted rood location, and simply phenomenal oysters on ice :)

A friend took us here for dinner. What a fantastic place. Casual and with a good price-point. Very historical - open since 1913. Great place. And, great seafood. We had a group of about 10 people and everyone loved it. Downstairs in Grand Central.

This was the place I wanted to go, so I made sure we booked well in advance. The place is huge, with several different sections, so you're likely to get seated whatever. I ordered a seafood platter and my sister ordered sea bass. Both dishes...More

Grand Central Oyster Bar is the ultimate experience for any seafood. Lover. From the market to your plate, we've spent nearly a hundred years perfecting our seafood dishes. Every morning, the chef goes to the New Fulton Fish Market to personally pick the day's freshest seafood. Everything from lobster to different kinds of fish is hand-picked for the best flavor and freshness. We're most famous for our oysters though, with over 30 different varieties on any given day. Have your dishes prepared minimally, or choose to have your meal in the form of a po' boy. Whatever floats your boat. To go with your Oysters, our extensive wine list has over 400 wines by the glass or bottle, 55 of which are priced under $38. We love sharing our great seafood, so we like to keep everything, including our prices, accessible. Come in for our Happy Hours (menu on website), where you and your friends can pick up some fresh food and drinks at prices so good it's fishy! Across our restaurant we have more than 450 tables across two dining rooms. Traditional experiences are supplemented by our saloon, which features a large bar. Instead, you could choose to sit at Oyster Bay, where you can watch your Oysters being shucked. The Grand Central Oyster Bar has always been a social experience, bustling with buzz, activity and a rich history. There is truly nowhere else like it!
