Carmines used to be one of my favorite family styled restaurants. I was there last night I ordered my staple Chicken Parmesan over Linguine, A house salad, and an order of Calamari. So, we nibbled on the appetizers that arrived maybe 15 minutes within taking our orders. 10-15 minutes after that in came the Chicken Parm. I estimate any plate... More

I was lucky enough to get reservations, it's a bit pricey but what isn't in NYC. The salad was so good along with the pasta and chicken we ordered, and of course, getting plenty of bread was a bonus (didn't even have to ask for more like most places). Will definitely be back!

Not only is the food excellent, it is served family-style. Lots of fun with 4 people or more. Make sure you have a microwave in your hotel to heat up leftovers..very large portions.

I should have known. It's near Times Square! 67.00 for lunch. Used the lunch menu. No bar service? Nice Server! Bland food. I was breaking a diet and the diet really stayed safe. The food tasted very neutral and disappointing! Maybe that's what their customers like? It was busy!

Well known fact about dining in Manhatten is Carmine's. Outstanding location, lively, family friendly. HUGE portions and GREAT service. If you like shrimp, you HAVE to order shrimp scampi - it's truly excellent.. not you normal shrimp scampi. I was by myself on a quick biz trip; sat at the bar. Had a great time - in and out in... We had an excellent experience. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent. Portions are huge, so you can share (we took 1 portion for two and could not finish ...). Family friendly too. The overall cost is very reasonable.

I have been a customer of Carmine's since they opened the first in NYC in the upper west. Don't miss it but book early, not easy to get a reservation. Once you go you will understand why.

Came with my in laws who had come on previous ocassions and had a very high hype about it. Well I wasn't dissapointed! Great place, great food and good service! Portions are big! Although we knew still ordered more than we can eat! Couldn't stop eating! We had the marinara meatballs with spaghetti simply a classic. We also had the... More

Trust the reviews on exactly how large the portions are here..... They are massive and meant to be shared! I went with my husband before we saw Phantom of the Opera, it's right by the theatre so that's a plus. We ordered a salad and spaghetti and meatballs and it could've fed 4-6 people! Seeing how we were headed to... More

If you like crowded loud places, you will like it here. This type of restaurant is best suited for large groups because all of the entrees are super sized, served family style. As a couple trying to catch a late evening meal we found it less than enjoyable. To their credit, we made reservations for 10PM, showed up on time... More

Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
